Eames: Beautiful Details

This was our second attempt at getting a Great book on Eames design and it's a fantastic one that feels definitive. The images are gorgeous and the writing is insightful and balanced well within the book. The slipcase is an object of beauty itself: vibrant and glossy beautifying whatever space you place it in. The best book I've found on Eames' history and works.

Got this for my dad for Father’s Day. He’s been in the design biz his entire adult life. He loves it. Great quality color and b & w photos. Interesting text history about the Eames’ and their journey. The book & lovely box it’s presented in weighs nearly 8 lbs. Recommend!

This is a beautifully done book. I received it for Christmas and I absolutely love it! We live in a 1957 mid century style house and this book provides lots of inspiration and facts. I also love that it looks so nice sitting out on the coffee table.

This visual "scrapbook" is a wonderful intimate glimpse into the lives and work of perhaps the most innovative design team of the last century. As the large format black and white and color photography reveals; interior design, architecture, furniture, experiments in film, signage, toys, for Charles and Ray Eames, there was nothing worth making that was beyond the scope of their vision and ingenuity.

As a husband & wife duo designing and making furniture we are in total awe of Ray & Charles Eames and this was a beautiful insight into the personal side of this amazing duo. Both my husband and I have enjoyed reading this book and have taken great inspiration from the pages...and that dust cover is beautiful!

This beautiful book arrived promptly, in good time for Christmas. I hated to give it up!

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who owns several pieces of mid-century modern furniture. It's absolutely beautiful from cover to cover. Really interesting insight into how the Eames' creative process worked. The colorful box that it comes in makes a fantastic display piece.

Book is gorgeous, exactly what I needed for my console table - only dropping a star because the colorful outside is only a box, not the actual book cover.

This book is HUGE - not so much a coffee-table book as a coffee-table - and it weighs as much as a slab of wood, but you certainly get your money's worth. The quality is just superb - as you would like to expect from anything connected to Ray and Charles Eames - and the sizeable, glossy pages are packed with wonderful photos and informative text that will provide pleasurable viewing for a lifetime. if you have any interest whatsoever in the Eames world then this really is an essential purchase.
