Lapsang Souchong as it should be! Perfect balance of tannin & smokiness. If you love Lapsang, I'm pretty sure you will love this one. Twinnings is OK - it used to be my favorite until the made some changes. I now have a new favourite The Tea Makers of London! The Tea Makers of London Chai of Madagaskar is also highly recommended. Tastes like drinking an ashtray
Tastes like drinking an ashtray. Can't bear the stuff on it's own. So why 4 stars? Well add a small pinch (like literally 5 leaves) of this to 2 teaspoons of good strong black tea - Waitrose Assam for example - and the hint of smokiness rounds adds something really special to the taste.

Smoky goodness!
The smoky flavor isn't overpowering and actually remains through the whole brewing process. The savory taste goes great steak, chicken, and steamed veggies with sea salt. A little goes a long way when brewing a cup, 1 teaspoon to a general sized coffee mug is more than enough.

Understrength
Great smell when opening pack. I admit it is sometime since I have used loose leaf tea, but compared to Twinnings old tea bags not as strong flavour. I will continue to experiment with quantity and timings.

Pipe smokers companion
for the pipe smokers, this is pure latakia... not a huge fan of latakia so not a huge fan of this tea, but it would be unfair to mark down because of purely subjective taste reasons, as far as quality and strength of flavour goes its top marks...just not for me, although when the mood strikes for a lat bomb, perhaps a cup of this will be a great companion to a latakia filled bowl

Dachte mir anfangs, dass dies wieder so ein 0815 europäischer Lapsang ist, doch dies war völlig falsch! Dieser Tee weißt zwar ein starkes Raucharoma auf, jedoch ist es sehr gut abgestimmt und schmeckt nicht so fischig wie die billig-lapsangs. Ich habe sonst nur sehr qualitative Tees im hochpreissegment daheim, aber diesen Tee hier genieße ich äußerst gerne, weil er einfach sehr harmonisch schmeckt und irgendwie sehr einzigartig ist. Die Original China-Lapsangs haben ein sehr zartes Raucharoma. Dieser hier schmeckt relativ intensiv rauchig, aber dennoch nicht aufdringlich. Sehr gut!

E' diventato subito il mio preferito. L'ho fatto assaggiare a varie persone e l'hanno tutti definito un ottimo te, di alta qualità e dall'ottimo sapore. A mio parere è un te da bere da solo, senza accompagnarlo a biscotti vari, va gustato. L'ho bevuto sia con aggiunta di un po di limone, che senza, aggiungendo solo zucchero o miele e anche senza il limone è ottimo, non ha bisogno di nessuna aggiunta a parte forse un po di zucchero o miele nelle dosi preferite. Il profumo delle foglie è intenso, alcune persone inizialmente erano dubbiose ma dopo averlo assaggiato tutti sono rimasti colpiti dal gusto e mi hanno chiesto dove lo avessi trovato. Consiglio l'acquisto, merita di essere la prima scelta quando arrivano a casa ospiti a cui offrire qualcosa di buono. Io ho scelto la confezione metallica che garantisce un ottima conservazione.

Am Anfang war ich etwas skeptisch was den Geschmack angeht. Aber ich muss sagen, der Tee schmeckt wirklich gut. Rauchige Noten und dennoch Schwarztee. Zu Empfehlen.++++

Basta farsi un giro sul sito della Tea Makers of London per rendersi conto della straordinaria esperienza in ambito di infusi. La confezione era ben imballata, arrivata nei tempi previsti. La scatola in alluminio ha un aspetto sofisticato ed elegante e il thè è conservato all'interno è inserito in un ulteriore busta di carta alluminio in modo da meglio conservarne le caratteristiche. Riguardo alla qualità di thè, si tratta di un thè nero, appartenente quindi alla grande famiglia di cui fanno parte anche i più famosi English Breakfast ed Earl Grey, ma questo si distingue per il suo forte odore affumicato che persiste, anche se in modo decisamente più delicato, nella sua infusione.
