I read reviews before buying. Most of the reviews that was related to the Nintendo Wii console, said that the white adapter works, but not the black one. I bought the white adapter and it worked first try. Set it to wired connection, took an extra minute to connect but it connected successfully to my current wifi WITHOUT having to downgrade my current router. If it matters, im on Xfinity wifi. I dont think it would matter company internet that your with, but wireless connections require an older router. The wired connection either needs an OEM Wii adapter, or this specific adapter that the review is for.

i'm generally a fan of UGREEN these past few years. I've bought a lot of their cables and adapters and they tend to be high quality. That aside, this purchase was still a gamble, as whether or not it's high quality is a separate matter from whether the Wii supports the particular chipset in this adapter. I saw one or two reviews that said it would work, but sometimes people are just... wrong. I'm glad to say that it does indeed work. Should work on the Wii U and Switch as well (did not test on those, but I have another 100mbps adapter that works with the Wii U and the Switch and they don't support that many chipsets), although the Switch also supports faster (1gbps instead of 100mbps) adapters, so don't buy this just to use with the Switch. I used an Amazon Basics Cat6 ethernet cable and a TP-Link 8-port unmanaged gigabit switch which go to a Netgear R6220 router and so on. None of that matters, but maybe the info would comfort someone. The Wii is particularly picky about Wi-Fi, not supporting a lot of modern stuff, so being able to use a wired connection is just a lot simpler than having separate Wi-Fi with worse security just to cater to an old console.

My WiFi router has been updated to 5G, and my Wii system can't keep up with the new tech, so I bought this for my Wii to update the software. It works right out of the box and is easy to plug and play. No software is needed. In just about 1 minute, my Wii system is online and downloaded with no issues. Great buy.

It works! But unfortunately they updated the chips and they no longer work on the Wii, I had to return it, but the product works, but you have to consider that if you're looking for it for Wii/Wii U.

Effective, affordable, I use it for the Wii

Like others have said, the white version works with the original Wii. Unless they change the specs, this one will work just fine.

This is the PERFECT product for collage dorms. I can plug in to any Ethernet wall port at my dorm and it works perfectly. I use it everywhere all the time and it has a stable and great connection. Great for stable connection on homework, downloading and playing games, watching Netflix with friends. It is one of the most useful things I use at collage. So many times have friends asked to use it for downloading a textbook or a Netflix night. Great product, semi cheap, and really easy to use.

For Nintendo Wii. There's an option for a black adapter and a white adapter. Get the white one. For some reason that's the only one that's compatible with the Wii even works on Xfinity internet
