On the 16th November, UMe will release Chris Cornell’s first ever complete career retrospective featuring tracks from Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, Audioslave and his solo works. The collection also includes “WHEN BAD DOES GOOD” – the unreleased studio recording produced, recorded and mixed by Chris Cornell found in his archive of personal recordings. This double LP comes with 17 tracks highlighting Chris’ astonishing career with 2 unreleased recordings, an 8 Page Booklet with unreleased photos, and comes in a gatefold jacket with limited edition custom die-cut slipcase that showcases Seattle via the tree line graphics on front and various cities he lived in through his life on back. Review: A simply amazing collection - For a vinyl lover, this is a simply amazing album. A collection of classic tracks from Chris either as himself or from his Soundgarden days in heavy weight 180g vinyl. Every track delivers his voice in perfect clarity, and 'Black Hole Sun' and 'You Know My Name' never sounded so good. But the real gems are his cover of Prince's 'Nothing Compares to You' and MJ's 'Bille Jean'. To have this in a vinyl collection is a 10/10 from me. Review: Nice compilation of his various musical outlets - It’s Chris Cornell, what’s not to like? Yes you can argue over which songs should be on the vinyl and why certain songs aren’t, but it’s Chris Cornell and everything he sang was pure gold!

Outshines the rest...
A deserving tribute to a humble giant of the alternative rock scene. Chris Cornell had a voice of such power, range and expressiveness, not to mention a great gift for songwriting, perhaps among his contemporaries only Layne Stayley and Kurt Cobain came close in terms of vocal delivery. This album presents Chris’s career from the early days of Soundgarden’s Louder Than Love, through Temple Of The Dog, to Audioslave and of course his prolific and impressive solo days. Chris’s rendition of Nothing Compares 2 U is nothing short of heart-breaking: makes your hairs stand on end. What a tragedy to have lost him so prematurely.

What's to think about? Get it bought!! 🤘🏻
What can you say about this album? It encapsulates one of the most amazing rock voices ever... This album takes you on a beautiful journey through Chris Cornell's career and what a journey it is!! I have to say too that his version of 'Nothing Compares 2U' will send ahivers down your spine as it is mesmerising!! Don't think about it, just buy it and on vinyl if you can, it's just amazing 🤘🏻

A good, if not comprehensive, compilation.
It has songs by Chris Cornell so it's going to be good. That said, the vinyl version is hardly what you'd call comprehensive (it only has 4 Soundgarden songs on it) hence only 4 stars. The vinyl version is more like an introduction to his music. It is very nicely packaged and the booklet has some touching words written by friends. If you want a more comprehensive compilation, go for the 4 CD package, or even better, go and discover his back catalogue (if you don't already know it). I bought this solely for the cover of Nothing Compares 2U, which, in my opinion, was worth the £30 itself.
