Bianco Nero Tarot Review: Very appealing black and white Tarot deck - I was drawn to this Tarot deck but hesitated to order it. In the end I'm glad I did as it's one of my favorite decks now. The black and white theme is stark but the artwork is quite illustrative and evocative of the symbolism of each card. This is a deck based on the RWS. Review: I love this so much! - I've used and read with the Hermetic Tarot so I was not new to black and white Tarot. This deck is amazing. I find that the energy is balanced well (haha - black and white balanced) and that the deck is eager to work, is honest, doesn't sugar coat but is not mean, either. I've used it for general readings, shadow work for obvious reasons and recently finished 2019 astrological reads. I haven't read the LWB that comes with the deck and I normally don't but this one seems juicy with information. Card stock is nice and shuffles like butter. The art is inspiring and so beautiful. I find it nice for meditation (path work) too. I can already sense that this will be my go to deck for the new year.

Monochromatic Rider-Waite variant.
As the title says, this a monochromatic Rider-Waite style deck that for most cards covers all the major symbolism, with a fair number of the cards being pretty much replications, but without colour and with sharper linework. It's a retooling for an aesthetic, and I think it works very well with the possible exception of one card: Death. Death is very uhh... barebones, and lacks all but the core imagery of a scythe wielding skeleton. There is some attempt at stylizing the scythe to inject more meaning into the image, but it just looks ridiculous if you know anything about scythes, what they look like in real life, and how they are used. But it's also one of the simplest cards to remember the meaning of, so I give a bit of a pass on that. I like the variation for the Hanged Man the most. It retains the general shape of the inverted figure, the "4" shape of the one crossed leg, but instead of hanging from a beam, this is more of an Odin-like figure, hanging from a tree. Overall, a very clean looking deck, and will be very familiar ground for anyone grounded in RWS, with enough variation, especially in the major arcana, to possibly provoke looking at the cards with fresh eyes.

As advertised, lovely
The cards are of very good quality and this comes with a small guide book. The art is beautiful and the card size is really nice. They aren’t gigantic but normal size, so this is easy for small hands to shuffle. I plan to use this for romantic questions.

Great Deck!
The art work is nice, the black & white gives the deck charater. If your intuition is strong, then these cards will work for you very well. I can read with these cards, with ease.

Decent B&W deck
I wanted a black & white deck to quiz my students on color symbolism ... bought this one. I dont know why US Games wont just release a B&W RWS??? On the plus side, the artist really nails it on some cards. His artwork brilliantly captures the feeling of the card and the B&W makes a powerful graphic statement - no color needed. Hermit and Tower are exceptional. But a few cards miss the target. King of Pents looks angry which doesn't fit the personality type. Sun appears old and cranky! 8 of cups has such a nice derriere I forget this card is about leaving pleasures of the flesh! I wouldn't use Bianco Nero for clients or serious personal readings but it's a welcome change of vibe to share a B&W deck with friends and students. The aesthetic is ancient Rome meets Milan fashion week illustrated in intaglio etchings and blockprints ... if that makes sense.

Currently, my most used deck!
I absolutely love this deck. I actually learned how to use tarot through this deck because of how easily I was able to connect to it. I have tried other decks before but there is an ease with this one. The artistry is stunning and has a very masculine and strong depiction of the original Rider Waite tarot. I love the attention to detail in the creation of this deck. I would recommend to anyone that has been struggling to connect to other tarot decks.

Ich habe lange nach einem dunkleren Deck gesucht und nun endlich dieses schwarz-weiße Deck gefunden. Wunderschöne Karten, gut verarbeitet und symbolisch einem normalen Rider–Waite Deck sehr ähnlich.

There are plenty of tarot decks around nowadays and It's been a while since I started looking for a new deck, I have ordered a few and sent them all back. The cards were low quality, the drawings meaningless, the deck not in alignment. But this one, this is the only tarot deck I have found that the cards are in symbiosis with each other and are very easy to understand. The drawings are spectacular and the detail fantastic, when you read the cards you can feel what the card is about and what it wants to transmit. I love the fact that the back of it is symmetrical so you don't know whether the card is upright or upsidedown before turning it. Every detail drawn on the card is deeply thought and you can really see the commitment of the artist to create something special. I can't tell enough how much I love this deck. It's my perfect start for another great decade. Thank you Marco Proietto for creating this precious gem.

Before buying this deck, I had 80+ decks and never believed in the concept of soul decks as I had never connected to any decks that deeply the first time I open it or read with it. However, I did a deck interview spread with this one and oh wow! It spoke to my soul! I think I’ve finally found my soul deck. WOW!! Ps. The cardstock is matte and on a thiner side, but it’s easy to shuffle and definitely not flimsy. The symbols are not the exact duplicates of the RWS (e.g. for Justice card, the scale is not balanced and the sword is not straight), but it works for me and for varieties of readings
