Had it a week and already clipped 4 corners of about 1,000 board wargame counters (so 4,000 clips). Does an excellent job on these counters. Gets a bit tiring after 100-200 counters but it is easy work to do while watching tv since this deluxe clipper makes alignment almost automatic so you can do clean clipping without paying much attention. For my eyes the 2.5mm radius clipper is a good compromise size that is not excessive for small 1/2" counters and also does a good job for bigger 9/16', 5/8" and 3/4" sizes. Only case where this clipper might not be satisfactory is for very thick counters which might not fit the cutter opening which is pretty small in height. However most counters that are deluxe and super thick are also pre-rounded since that is typical of those type of deluxe counters so I think this clipper should do the job very well 95% of the time.

I know people say this one is fragile, so my review is NOT taking into account the breakage rate. It doesn't appear they have fixed the problem because my clipper is identical to those you see breaking in the comments. But the quality of the clipping is 5/5 stars, *perfect* compared to the competition. So I don't know about the breakage rate...at least they seem good about replacing stuff? But you will not get a better clipping from competitors.

Hard to work, cutting dies dulled quickly, brass bushing came out of fit on left side. Would NOT buy for cutting war game counters. Went back to using it, cuts counters great. On July 3rd the handle broke after cutting about 1500 counters. Took it apart to try to fix it, found return spring to heavy, with handle removed spring unloaded ,the moving head .350 travel, the spring is pre-loaded about .100. Also on the lower moving handle it has stress point where it breaks, and the handle is not a solid piece. It's going to FAIL.. Fixed it by laminating a piece of thin metal where it broke on both sides, also with a different spring, the spring is only to return the upper die head. Cutter works great after the changes I made.

I am relatively new wargamer and never thought I'd be someone that would be clipping counters. I was wrong. After seeing the difference between clipped vs. non-clipped counters, I decided to buy one of these Oregon Laminations corner rounders and give it a try. I really enjoyed the results and began clipping counters like a madman. Unfortunately, these efforts were cut short when the corner rounder tool broke in the usual way: the plastic "clip" that locks the lower handle in and applies pressure snapped off while I was in the middle of clipping a game! This happened only about three weeks after I'd received it, with barely 1000 counters clipped. I contacted Kyle at Oregon Laminations and shared photos of the damaged tool. After confirming the failure, he shipped out a replacement tool at their own expense via priority mail. This all happened right before Christmas, but they still were able to get me a replacement before New Year's Day. There are some videos on YouTube that describe how you might be able to repair a damaged corner rounder, and I'll likely give that a shot on my damaged unit and see if I can get it working well enough to be a spare for when (not if) the new one also fails. I was upset that my tool failed so quickly after purchase, but I am really happy with how quickly the seller remedied the situation. If the tool had lasted 5,000 counters instead of 1,000 I really wouldn't have complained -- after all, it makes clipping the counters much easier and the results really are outstanding. If this replacement tool makes it through 5,000 counters then that is the equivalent of about a penny per counter to clip, which I think is a reasonable hobby expense. The important thing to remember going in is that the life of one of these tools is finite due to the design of the plastic component and the stress that is placed on it during operation. However, if you put it through its paces in the first few weeks after you receive it I hope that it will provide a good indication of whether or not it is going to hold up for you over the long term. I will definitely be watching to see how long I can get out of my replacement before it shares a similar fate. UPDATE 8/11/2019: The replacement tool just failed about 10 minutes ago, in the same way as the first. However, this was after eight months of fairly regular use and several thousand counters clipped. I had a feeling it was starting to go, so was not surprised when it finally gave up the ghost. I'm not sure how many counters in total I managed to clip with this tool, but I still feel that you get your money's worth out of it, even if they don't have a long operational life.

Easily manipulated to effect a professional trim to all of your board game cardboard counters. Solidly built. High value for the money. At least that’s how things started out. Today is 6 Oct 19, the day the device died. I have not been what I would consider a heavy user of the device. I have trimmed 400 or so counters in a game every other week or so. Heavy use would be 1200 counters a day, five days a week. Today, a loud SNAP, then the grip handle is no longer operational. We’ll see if Amazon backs this product.

This is the third same tool configuration I have broken in the same manner. This last tool lasted five months and all three tools broke in the same manner. The plastic center piece catastrophically shears into two pieces rendering the whole unit worthless. This is a major design flaw. Three tools failed after five months to a year of intermittent usage. The product is excellent for what it does. However, for the price involved this is an inexcusable planned obsolescence It works well for what it does; it should work longer for the price. Update: April 1st 2020: My third corner puncher failed today in exactly the same plastic part shear break in two. It lasted miid October 2019 to April 1 2020 = 5.5 months.

Had been on the fence for a long time buying this tool. Finally paid the expensive price to get it. And never regretted. Its trims my counters beautifully. Saved me the eye sore looking at badly peeled counter corners. A great tool to owned.

Eigentlich müsste man meinen, für den Preis eine gute Qualität erkauft zu haben. Nach mehrmaligem Gebrauch bricht der Hebel mittig, da aus PVC. Der Gebrauch nicht mehr möglich.

Best I have found for cutting card stock cards (300gsm) found get even and consistent result by pressing the card firmly into the cutter when compressing the handle

I am a great fan of board games and this is a tool for rounding the corners of die-cut counters. the 2.5mm is the size I prefer for most size counters and I haven't had an issue with cutting off info.

Rubbish. Received May 9th, broke July 11th. I managed to punch less than 1000 wargame counters in that time. That's 1.5mm thick cardboard. They punch beautifully. No excess pressure required to operate. There seems to be a design flaw, with the greatest pressure point on a piece made of plastic. I wish I'd heeded the warnings not to buy. YMMV
