i really liked the concept of being able to turn receptacle into a smart device to control with HomeKit. Wiring and setup wasn’t too difficult, depending on the depth of your wall box to easily fit behind the receptacle. After setup, it worked great! It lasted about 24 hours. The next day, the device was unresponsive to HomeKit and no longer worked. Had to waste more time removing it and going back to a non-smart receptacle. Don’t waste your money, just get a smart plug to plug in. Does the same thing and no installation.

Easy to use, workable.

Installed one into a ceiling fan as a cut off for a smart fan and it broke within a year. The unit began switching on and off rapidly. Didn’t work well with my Eero Wifi network.

adding to this review, 5 of six of these failed with only power and wifi connected. so maybe not recommnded in this batch.so it must use cozylife to port to smart things. thus i had to add another Chinese app to my phone.. and they always want too much access. I tried it in tuya but no luck. once i got past the vlan pw typo it loaded quickly and all is good with the porting to smarthings as that is my integration platform.Just an example of uses; i use one to trigger my solar water heater, with soft logic, - that is, i dont use the actual load, the switch input is from a hall-effect CT for dc current to a solar battery.Another, more common is i put one in a downlight ceiling fixture so i could individually address that point = turn off lights above TV..I have another outside under a deck to switch sidewalk lights as my digital timer would lose it's program and these dont. I probably will add these to attic fan routine and some other green attempts ( i have a routine that emails me that conditions are good for attic fan. just add the fan output and figure out window opener :) might be manual forever.I would not suggest pushing the 16a rating (80 % continuous duty is suggested) and the actual wire labels on the device do not match the pamphlet drawings, so heads up....

Have been testing this for month and so far it just works.I'm not asking for more than that, so I'm happy.Only 4 stars because there is only a month of uptime.

After checking the reviews, got some real doubts about purchasing this product, but decided to give it a shot. First, the product page says 2 but I only got one. Second, it’s not easy to setup as the connection to HomeKit fails several times until it suddenly connects. Still testing but already had to re-add the device a couple of times

Perfect size for installing in a ceiling fan compartment for motion sensor response activation. I found the relay was easy to install and easy connect to HomeKit. I have purchased two more for other fans after using the first two after a few months with no problems. I recommend this product.

March 12, 2024 updateDo not waste your money for buying this product. still to this day, seller has not responded to my request.February 22, 2023I bought two packs of the relay switch during the cyber Monday sales. I installed one to convert the regular power strip to homekit compatible one, which has been working since the installation date with connection issues. The other one did break within a few days after installation.Amazon customer service representative directed me to contact the seller company to use the company warranty. I reached out to the DoHome company 10 days ago and have not received any reply.Be aware of the low quality of this product. if you have an idea to test, this is a cheap way to validate it. otherwise, I do not recommend it for regular and day-to-day usage.
