Fast as advertised. Ugreen, always reliable as expected.
This ethernet adapter works very fast. The instructions maybe could be better as I didnt find th drive on their official web site, but with the code mencioned on the instructions I found it on another page for mac, windows and linux. Goes extremely fast, but you must know if your PC connections can achieve that speed (5Gbps), and also if your hard drive goes that speed (I have a NVME drive and USB-c thunderbolt on the pc (40Gbps). When I tried on the usb 3.0 or the USB 2.0 with an adapter for usb-c to normal usb the speed was not the expected and way slower on the usb 2.0. So, if there are no bottle necks in your PC it will work very well. I’m also using it to connect a windows PC to an imac 2020 as external display with Luna display wired option (I bought two of these devices and connected the thunderbolt 4 of the PC to the thunderbolt 3 of the imac with a cat 8 ethernet cable) and it goes very well (1ms latency and had maximum speed). Thank you Ugreen for your hard work.

Excellent value—fast, reliable, and well-built
I’ve been really impressed with this 5GbE adapter from UGREEN. It delivers consistently fast speeds, works flawlessly with my setup, and feels solidly made. For the price, it’s fantastic value—especially if you’re upgrading from 1GbE and don’t want to jump to the cost of full 10GbE gear. Just plug it in to a spare USB-C port and... that's it. Only wish they made a 10GbE version, but for most use cases, this hits the sweet spot. Highly recommended.

Works well if you have the correct Linux version
Not fully plug and play Linux compatible, troublesome driver install with Proxmox 8/Debian but all working now. At the moment there is no way to make it work with Proxmox 9

Doesn't hit anywhere close to the advertised speeds, will be returning
2 Stars as it does the bare minimum of working.... however.... Speed wise it's exceptionally dissapointing, I stuck with Ugreen after using a 2.5gbe adapter which hit that absolutely no sweat across my network and happily chugged along. This device however barely hits 1gbps on the exact same network less than half the speed the other lower specced adapter hits, I'm plugging in to a USB 4.0 port so should have more than enough bandwith, all in all just very dissapointing Considering you can get 1gbe adapters at a fraction of the cost the value for money is atrocious as well... all in all very very dissapointed

Unstable in Win10. Edit: fixed. Use a different usb-c port or powered hub
Unstable. Running Win10. Driver updates on the ugreen website are only for Win11 but it is detected as a realtek adapter. Using CAT6 cable to a 10gbe switch, ran a few speed tests and halfway during the download test it drops. The connection is auto negotiating at 5.0gbps with a high quality cat6 cable. Edit: turns out it was the usb-c port. Ironically using the front panel usb-c port worked over the rear one in my desktop, which is the opposite of what is recommended for this exact issue. I guess if your motherboard has a dodgy usb-c port, try a different port. The port appears to only support charging, not data. Worked perfectly fine since switching to the non-recommended port! Connecting to a powered usb-c hub also fixes it.

If i have to replace a cable, get an extension or need an adapter of any sorts, i will always get Ugreen. Ugreen seems to be of good quality, and is very decently priced. (Especially during sales :) ) Because of an unstable onboard 2.5gbit adapter, I’ve recently bought this. Got recognized by win 11 instantly, download speed is maxed out from my subscription. Upload speed is all over the place, but that’s always with my subscription. (4Gbps simultaneously subscription, hooked directly to modem with cat7 cable)

Very nice adapter. Great speeds and feels very high quality. No need for installing drivers or anything on my M1 Mac. Had many issues with other brands before but this one have been really solid.
