Must have in every house!
I have purchased at least 3 of these in my lifetime. I think one was from Walgreens. It's an absolute must have for any home. It works in the shower and sinks. Very very easy to use anybody could do it. Hair clogs up drains so quickly and sinks and showers start to fill with water. It's unpleasant to have a clogged drain because then they tend to smell because the bacteria is trapped in the hair. I put on gloves because it's gross pulling hair out of drains, and I keep an empty shopping bag to put the hair in so I can pull out more. You will be surprised at how much hair is pulled out and how much better your drains work. Whole process takes 5 minutes max. Very easy to manipulate into the S pipe on sinks. My only complaint is that after time the hair sticks to the velcro and it's almost impossible to get the smaller pieces off when the bigger pieces rip. This is why I've had to replace about every 6 months. But it's much cheaper than buying expensive chemicals or calling a plumber. This is a definitely a must have in every home.

Surprisingly it works
My husband saw the ad on late night TV which is never a great recommendation in my book but at his urging I ordered these through Amazon - reviews on line indicated that people ordering from the company had hidden fees added and charged to their credit cards. We had two slow drains in our bathroom. Following the instructions within a minute he pulled out a incredible very nasty large chuck of goo. The drains work like new. I recommend using gloves and getting someone else to do this task. They do look flimsy and I am not sure how long they will last but they are not expensive and I have spent more on liquid drain cleaner over the year then I did not these, and they did the trick, so if I have to replace them every couple of uses they will still be cheaper then the harsh chemicals.

Wish there was a "0" star rating you could give!
I don't leave negative feedback very often...but this was truly disappointing. First of all--the picture said "Turbo Snake". What I received was "Sink Snake" a very cheap knock off (well--maybe the turbo snake is the same piece of garbage). That is false advertising as far as I know. I took it out of the package and immediately knew it would not be able to be pulled out of a drain with hair/clog without the velcro coming off. I tugged slightly on the velcro that was glued to the bendable pipe and the velcro came right off. That would have been lodged in the drain along with the clog I was hoping to remove then making my drain even more clogged. DO NOT BUY THIS online. I can't speak for the actual "Turbo Snake" since that is not what I received. I'm contacting the seller too.

almost perfect but you can make it so easily
I live with 2 long haired females who seem to think that you just wash loose hair down the drain. Maybe I'm just jealous cause I can cut what's left of my hair with a Flowbee. Anyways their bathroom sinks always get plugged up. I would use a plunger or have to take out the p-trap. Always wondered about Turbo Snake so I bought the 2 pack from Amazon. Like others have said it is mostly a wire with Velcro and you could make it yourself but you would have a hard time making up the sewn together Velcro end cap which is the key to the whole thing! So for the time savings it is much better to just buy this package. One important thing! Just as some mentioned the larger snake's Velcro cap cane off inside my drain first use and I had to take out p-trap to get it out. But all you have to do if is the following to make it perfect: * Gently but firmly wiggle and slide and pull off the large snake's end cap with pliers or teeth. Best to do it before using it as it is gross what comes out of drain and attaches to end cap. * Use wire cutters or wire stripper to take about 1/2" of wire insulator off end or big snake end where the Velcro end cap just was. Do not weaken or damage wire itself. * Slide the Velcro end cap back on and firmly wiggle and slide the cap until the bare wire reaches the end of the Velcro end cap's end. * Then slide and push harder until the bare wire makes a hole and pops through the Velcro end cap. * Bend the bare wire all the way over and then be sure and crimp the end into the Velcro end cap so that it is pushed into it and will not hang up in a drain when you pull it out. With this improvement the large snake is a very strong tool and the end cap will never come off and if you bend the wire into the end cap properly it will not hang up during use. I do not think you have to do this with the small snake as it's end cap seems to be on much better and also the small snake is a lightweight use tool. I have used the small snake several time as it came and it worked fine as is. But you certainly could do the same upgrade to it. I used to just use the small snake on the sink drains and it worked ok. But then I tried the upgraded large snake and I hit the mother lode. You can really dig with the firmer large snake. The included handy storage hook is a great idea too. I just store both snakes on it inside the cabinet under the sink and it is always there. Great idea and product (almost) but you can finish the product easily.

Removes hair clogs well - even better with sink stopper removed.
I used the turbo snake to clean out my bathroom sink which was draining very slowly. I was getting bits of stuff and hair out but when I lost patience and released the drain plunger under the sink (pretty easy with pliers) and pulled the stopper out I was able to get a couple big globs of "stuff" and hair. Disgusting, but now my bathroom sink drains fast as I ever remember. Much better than pulling apart pipes or using more involved techniques. While the turbo-snake can be used with the drain stopper in place (but open) I found it much more effective with it removed and removal and replacement were pretty easy on my sink. For something really cheap and worked really well for me I'm giving it 5 stars.

Works as advertised!
I have had a backed up sink for months on end. I tried the regular drano, then the heavy duty gel drain unstopper, and neither of them worked, not at all. I saw a turbo snake package in the bathroom drawer at a friend's house, and decided to order it. In 3 minutes my sink was clear of the mound of hair that had somehow gone down the drain over time, and lodged in the pipe. Thanks for this ingenious little gadget that slips right down the side of the pop up sink plug and has a velcro doohickey on the end that grabs all the clog. Water drains perfectly again. Too clever!
