How do I reset my password?

You can reset the password by switching the power switch off and on maybe 5 times (it could even be 7!). If you wait for the eyes to power on each time you'll see them turn yellow once the wifi password is reset. Once the eyes turn yellow let it fully boot up and it should be reset. If you see it turn yellow and go two on / off cycles more it will perform a factory reset.

How do I connect to Artie Max to get coding?

Make sure that Artie Max has charged for at least 4 hours and update the firmware (downloaded from the codewithartie website). Turn on Artie Max. On your device, go to your WiFi menu and select Artie Max WiFi (if it asks for a password, the password will be 12345678). Open a browser (such as Chrome) and go to website. The site may take up to 5 minutes to load, refresh occasionally. You should be prompted to set your password, after a few minutes, Artie will restart automatically. You may need to manually reconnect to Artie’s WiFi. Please see the videos on this page or check out the codewithartie website for more tutorials. How do I update Artie Max?

You can only update Artie on a Mac or Windows desktop computer and/or laptop. Download the firmware update file from the codewithartie website. We recommend saving the file in the Downloads Folder. To unzip the file, double-click on Mac and right-click and Extract on PC. Open the folder inside labeled with your computer’s operating system. Right-click the Artie update file - you may need to do this twice - and select open/allow (the update app is safe, but you may get a message saying it’s unknown since it’s not from the App Store). Plug Artie Max into your computer using the provided USB-C cable. Turn Artie Max On. Click the refresh button next to the Com Port drop-down. Open the Com Port drop-down and select the com port shown. Select update and wait for it to complete (this may take a few minutes). Unplug Artie and turn it off and on and you are ready to go.
