Nice bottle. Has the bung and the bubble air lock... But no screw cap even though the top of bottle has a thread for a cap... Shame.. That would of been perfect. Be aware this thing is tiny... I had no idea how small a gallon was.. Now I know... It I hope will be what I make my honey mead in... Definitely not going to be any good for my wine... Hey ho...

Ordered two demijohns one screw cap is missing

Good. But this is an American gallon container, so slightly smaller than I expected.

Useless the rubber bungs keep popping out, I had to duct tape mine down to stop it. Not practical at all, what a waste of money.

Warning this is a USA gallon only 3.75 litres not UK 4.5 litres.

Perfect! If the gasification is intense, the airlock "might" pop out. You can always wrap the airlock tight with some cellophane.

I am absolutely thrilled with this gallon-size glass wine fermenter! As avid home winemakers, we’ve tried several fermenters over the years, but this one stands out as the best. Currently, we’re using it to make apple jack wine, and it’s been fantastic. While I can’t share a picture of it in use at the moment here is a picture of it empty, I can say that this fermenter has definitely improved the overall experience. The size is excellent—large enough to make a good batch of wine, but not so bulky that it’s hard to manage. For anyone who enjoys making wine at home, this fermenter is a must-have. It’s reliable, easy to use, and well worth the price. If you’re looking for a high-quality fermenter that will do the job better than others, this one is definitely worth considering!
