I installed this stopper on my side by side winch. It was easy to install and worked perfectly. I find this to be a good quality product and expect it to last the life of my winch. Everyone needs to have one of these to protect their winch cable and hook pin.

Used this on my Polaris Ranger winch. I've had it installed a little over a year, and have had zero issues. It is softer than expected, but keeps everything clean around my fairlead.

Works fine; only issue I have is working with metric hex head screws and recessed metric nuts. Nothing that's impossible to deal with, but when installing on a constantly coiling and retracting cable, it's a pain. If you can anchor the end of the cable to keep it taunt, a lot easier to work with, but having the nuts imbedded in the one half, and something other than a hex wrench that you can only get 3/4 of a rotation on before repositioning, would help. For the cost, works great and saves a lot of wear and tear on the cable end and the fairlead. Hopefully you only have to install it once but if your cable breaks, slip it on first before reattaching and clamping your terminal rig.

Product as described, easy installation, works as expected

First off, I returned this bumper. When I ordered it I was using steel winch cable and wanted this to protect the fairlead on the winch. I have since changed to synthetic rope and this bumper simply does not fit correctly on synthetic winch rope. Before I returned it I inspected it and it appeared to be of good quality. Dense rubber, SS hardware and a neat looking unit. Had I stayed with Steel I’m sure I would have used It. Just went in a different direction.
