Allies of Skin Retinal 0.1% Peptides Repair Night Cream with 0.1% Encapsulated Retinal, 6 Peptides, 2% Ornithine & EGCG Complex, 8.7% Ceramides & Omegas Complex

I previously used the 0.05 until it finished (thanks to the size, they last longer than other companies), and I felt like trying the higher concentration. This is more creamy and just as pleasant. These retinal products state you should use 1-3 pumps on the face and I use 3, and it’s just the right amount and I feel like I’m really improving my skin. Even with 3 pumps, it took me like 3 months with the 0.05 % version and now I’m using this. Great value once you have that perspective.

This Retinal cream is the first of its' specific type (Retinal) that I have used. It absorbs, for me, decently enough. It doesn't full sink into the skin immediately but I can apply it at the post face wash part of my nightly routine and by the time I get my night clothes on it seems to be pretty well absorbed. I like the applicator this comes in, years ago a cosmetics co I used to love (Prescriptives) used a similar type of pump briefly for one of its' foundation formulations and I always wondered with this tube with pump design wasn't more prevalent. I certainly like it! I've used this for about 3 nights in a row and haven't experienced any weird side effects from its' use. I will keep an eye out to determine if this is at all irritating to my skin. I do appreciate the lack of discernible scent and appreciate the faster acting time of Retinal vs. Retinol (allegedly per studies anyway). Time will tell. If this product performs at any less than 5* during my duration of use I will report back & update this review.

For a significant amount of money you will get a tiny amount of a very thick, heavy night cream. I found it to be effective but not very pleasant to apply. But I guess if it's night cream, I can bear it.
