The item is a millimeter or so short on both ends, but the fit is adequate and the item works well as is. Seems a bit lightly made, so we will see about the durability. But overall very good value for money so far. Would recommend. Did not experience (yet?) any of the problems mentioned in other reviews.

This did not fit my LG dryer even though it says it is for my model number. The graphics show the lint trap being 12.2" wide, the one I received was only 12" wide. That 1/4" is a lot. The trap did not fit tightly enough to trap the lint and was difficult to get in and out. Ended up ordering directly from LG and got the correct part. A little more expensive but wished I would have done that first instead of wasting money on this one.

I own a 2006 LG front loading dryer, Model #DLG5988W. My dryer lint screen developed a small hole a long time ago, but it's grown larger now over time; it occurred to me that could be a fire hazard someday. I looked on the LG website, but couldn't tell if the replacement part was suitable for my dryer model. So, I went to Amazon and found this item. It doesn't list my particular Model #, but it included one very similar in number (only the last letter was different). When I saw the product photos looked identical to mine, verified the measurements were the same, and realized that "Free Returns" was offered, I decided to take a chance and buy it. **SO glad I did!** It fits perfectly, costs half the price of the LG lint screen, and the mesh of the screen is a tighter weave than my previous lint screen. I'm hoping that means it will catch finer pieces of lint.

Good replacement for my LG dryer. The felt liner doesn't stay in the groove very well. Otherwise, works fine.

This replacement lint trap is the correct fitment. But it is very thin and flimsy. It works, but can easily be twisted/warped due to it being so thin.

It doesn’t fit exactly the same as the original, but the original was in pretty poor condition. After having used it for over a week, it fits great.

I made sure to get the right size, but it still didn't fit properly. I had a check filter sign on my dryer and even after getting a new one it didn't go away. But overall, it appears cheaply made and didn't fit well.

Not quite the right fit, so the dryer would not work until I put the original filter back in. There were no issues then.

Even though we checked the manufacturer's specifications for the part number, this is the one they recommended. This filter is slightly smaller than the original but will do the job.

The gasket is foam rubber not felt like the original. One month in and the gasket starting to curl. The filter itself is decent but not an exact fit. For what I paid I’m happy. I’ll use it for awhile then get an oem replacement.

Not exactly the right size, a tight squeeze to put in. Bu it fits OK.
