Great for vintage projects.
It's cloth covered wire. Different to work with vs plastic coated, but for that vintage look it great. No problems. Affordable.

Looks good but gets snagged
I have used this product in multiple lighting creations and I love the way it looks. It is nicer than having basic black wiring exposed and made for a nice pendant light. The biggest problems with the material is that it frays very easily. I learned to pull it back past where I planned to strip the wires and use a lighter to melt the cloth. It seems to stay in place better that way and provides for an unfrayed end. The way the cloth is woven, however, it gets caught when threading through the socket supports. This is a result of it being thicker from the cloth and the twisting as well as the material snagging. Once you get the hang of using it it isn't too bad though.

These wires are approved under UL component, when you pull the sheath away. The knotted sheath is real easy to catch in stuff and make ugly, so 1 star off for this as it was cumbersome to work with but it is decent wire.
