Great little USB Dock
Does exactly what it should. Clear access to the power button, perfectly sized and finished to match the Mac Mini, and the integrated cable keeps the connection neat. All my cabling now runs into the back of the dock, and I have installed a 4TB SSD. It’s all working perfectly so far. Very pleased with it, and I got it at a decent price.

Works straight from the box
I have used most of the ports. It appears well made and fits nicely with the M4. The ports are adequate for my needs. Haven't inserted the extra memory as yet so couldn't comment on that . The only reason for 4 stars is thedual connection to the back of the M4$ (why 2). Set up was easy just plug it into the back of the M$ that plug is just a slot ion and in works.

Great little Mac M4 Dock
Great little dock for the Mac Mini M4 series. I have an 4TB NVME in it and working really well. Just remember that it takes up 2 of your USBC connectors on the back of the Mac

It's exactly what is says it is...
It's exacltly as described. This is a USB hub in a useful shape with lots of bandwidth. It provides some useful ports and gives easier access to the power button, which is exactly what I wanted. I found that the NVME slot worked with a PCIe based drive and this worked the same as a USB pen drive - an icon on the desktop which can be ejected. This doesn't provide a drive linked onto the filesystem. The front USB-A connectors can't provide the power to run an external CD drive, but this is common with other USB hubs - I just use the front panel USB-C sockets with an adapter. I found that the display port wouldn't drive HDMI monitors via display port to HDMI video adapters or cables. These worked with other machines so it's a odd setup issue. I just used another USB-C hub instead. The speed of access and bandwidth provided was certainly fast enough. No complaints here.

It will cost you more than Apple internal storage in the not so long run
Listen, there are no two ways about this. If you purchased this dock you did so because you wanted to avoid paying Apple prices for additional storage. So far so good, right? Well, that is where that decision will come to bite you. So, a bit of context. I run a Linux desktop for my computational genomics work (16 cores, 12GB GPU, 128 GB RAM, etc), but my boss loves to work in MacOs, everytime he sends stuff over he is texting it over iMessage, etc, etc. I like Mac, it is polished, far better imo to develop on that Windows but the hardware is just dear. What happened to me? I recently was doing some work which sadly was requiring to access some files (genome files, etc) on the nvme ssd in the dock, the software making use of it uses a boat load of RAM and it went into swap causing a freeze and then a crash requiring a hard reboot. Not the first time but this last time it was evident that it was processing things stored in the dock’s nvme and it being BUS powered of course it did not complete the process elegantly. Long story short, upon inspection it is evident that this device cannot handle any serious type of workload, the lack of power and a dedicated cooling solution make it overheat and damage the nvme over time. This time it just happens to have been in the middle of it. Fortunately the 1TB ssd cost me £40ish during a prime day sale but the real catastrophe could have been 15 months of work that I fortunately had backed up elsewhere. The device is not fit for other than lifting the M4 slightly above ground and doing some peripheral passive storage of data. I would not trust it to process SD cards, XQD cards or anything holding video or still either if you are creative (which is also RAM intensive), to its credit it does support monitors at high refresh rates but for the cost it just seems completely unjustified. You would be better off finding a powered dock despite the evident price difference but even then it will still be cheaper and less anxiety inducing than staying up all night trying to salvage your work. As they say, caveat emptor. Steer clear, and all that jazz. A rare miss from Ugreen sadly.

This is the only Mac mini dock I have used so nothing to compare to. It was easy to hook up and works well. With the additional 2 Tb SSD that I inserted to the dock, it was well worth the price in comparison to what an internal harddisk of that capacity would have cost.
