Excellent budget Smart Phone
Pro's 1) Fast responsive capacitive touch screen (allows you to pinch shrink/enlarge screen like an iphone!) 2) Excellent loud speaker for such a small phone 3) small enough to fit in your pocket but large enough to view when playing games etc 4) Gingerbread OS is smooth and bug free (no crashes yet despite constant usage) 5) Easy to add apps to your desktop 6) Simple to use. idiot proof!! Cons's 1) The is no camera button allowing you to turn the camera on. You need to go into your apps screen or add the app to your desktop 2) Only plays MP3 audio. Does not play WMA or other audio formats. Samsung don't offer the option of downloading WMA codecs and media player apps will only play files for which you already own the codecs for. 3) No flash for the camera. 4) You cant change for your text message alert to a audio file of your own. You can only use the preset options on the phone. 5) You can only change your ringtone to an audio file of your own via a media player app. Ignore the comments about battery use. Yes it does disappear very quickly with constant app use however there are a number of options in the settings to allow you to extend your battery usage (turning off the 3G with save a bucket load). I use the apps a lot as well as made a lot of phone calls and only recharge every 48 hours (you can get over a weeks standby out of it with limited usage). Overall this is a fantastic phone. Brilliant if your on a budget and on PAYGO.

A remarkable piece of sh.. . Doesn't do the job for me and doesn't suit my needs.
I don't even know why I should bother to write a review under the title as it really does say it all. Very slow and inefficient piece of equipment, it has only brought annoyance and disappointment every step of the way. Does not have a function of repeating a notification sound; when a text arrives it only sounds once and unless you have a habit of strapping your phone to your body 24/7, once you happen to have missed it, it is gone for you forever. I only check my phone when I hear a sound, I have neither a habit nor time to constantly look at the phone so sometimes it takes me hours, even until the next day, to discover that I've had a text or a missed phone call. Neither can I find who my missed callers actually were, the log is so confusing. I have obviously now had 3 missed calls - who and what they were is gone somewhere where I can never comfortably and quickly find them. I will not and will not give in to the madness on being on your phone all your waking time, checking and looking every minute but this phone insists on making this change in my life. I don’t want to adjust my life to a technical equipment’s needs, I want it to adjust to me and suit me. It also doesn't have a function of repeatedly sounding a missed call in intervals. Does not sound repeatedly an event reminder either, only gives out a half deaf and very brief sound which is good for nothing. Also, it doesn’t show the event on the screen, only a tiny little number 1 appears (or so I think that’s what it means) in the left upper corner, if you look closely, so for the first few times you have no clue what the hell the phone had just sounded for, if you were lucky enough to hear it. I like my event reminder sounding much like the alarm clock – until you dismiss it, only then it works and you can trust it. I have all my ringtone and other sounds to the highest setting but the sounds are just so brief and mumbled, it doesn’t help. They are also very technical and cannot be personalized. My previous very old Samsung phone with a key pad had it all – my alarm was a downloaded music, so were the ringtones. And the events when a notification of them came up, were clearly written on the screen, you didn’t have to look for them in the calendar. Tiny weeney blue dots marking your numerous events in the little calendar windows? What a joke! Can easily be missed or overlooked, especially with resolution of that quality. Also, a very, very irritating issue it is that once I changed my sim, the date and clock setting application just went grey and cannot be changed so I have a totally messed up date and time and can do nothing about it. Horrible to write a text, the keyboard is so very small, it renders it almost unusable. It takes me ages of effort, constant correction and irritation to type the simplest of texts. Pity you cannot easily dial a number from which you got a text (it is beyond me why Samsung calls text or SMS a notification!) right away, you have to leave the texts, go back to your contacts or dial pad and dial from there only. You can tap your way through to dialling number in the texts too but it is further than a tap away, by miles. Takes time. Would have been so easy to be able to just dial the text number displayed over the text. Old phone did all that. Fast dial function is a laugh - you have to tap several times on the number that comes up under your coding to confirm that you damn do want to dial this very number in the FAST dial. Ridiculous and does not serve the purpose. Slow, although I have nothing yet downloaded onto this phone, so it is empty and should therefore be at its best. The keys and icons are not very sensitive to touch. I like the presentation of the contacts list but it will be the one and only thing I will be missing when I pass on this worthless toy to someone else. I am now looking to return this piece of what it is and trying to find a good old keypad functional phone. Function above fancy.

I think mine was defective but I will buy again.
I had my phone for such a short time that in truth I can't give a 'should I but?'altering review BUT my experience... This was my first smart phone and I instantly liked it and was won over by smartphones on the basis of this first experience. The phone looks great, it's a decent size and I was rather happy with the size of the screen. I read some reviews that offered that it was too small to be conducive to watching, videos, say but, it's a phone, smart- yes but a phone nonetheless so not my preference for watching long periods of media. I did like how webpages would adjust to make them more readable so that you don't need to keep scrolling from left to right to read. My biggest gripe was that some basic features are not very intuitive for example, the text messaging. The 'send' is located to the right corner side of the message box so with the touchscreen being as responsive as it was, I was always sending messages half way through composing them. Silly place for it. Also, finding out how to forward messages was hard, i never did find out how to do this. I returned the phone however as after 2 hours trying to configure the MMS with my phone network, they concluded that the fault was with the phone. I'll re-buy this model or maybe the S5670.
