StarPAD 7 Tablet PC Quad Core CPU, 2GB RAM+ 32GB Storage + Bluetooth Keyboard …

I loved my Star Pad at first it was bright , fast and a joy to use but 2 months after receiving it it started closing down on its own accord and refusing to come on again. I finally sent it back after waiting 48 hours and it still refusing to boot up (charge fine). I wanted my money back £224.00s ( this was the February 2014 price and YES they have gone down I wonder why?) but was told I was out of time for a refund and received a replacement. I opened up my new? Star Pad (previous owner was Spanish) charged it and logged on. Colours were distorted, black was green! This seemed to rectify after a little use. I wondered what next would go wrong and I didn't have long to wait! After 2 weeks my replacement Star Pad refused to charge, I mean I tried and tried several times to charge it, of course using the charger Android Tablets provided it would not charge! And so I emailed Android Tablets through Amazon "My Account" informing them I wished to return it. Result NOTHING! I then rang Amazon UK help line and a fantastic guy manually wrote an A to Z claim, informing me that returning a replacement could not be accommodated using instructions in MY Account. Well that was 5 days ago and so far nothing no emails NOTHING! So here I am £240.00s down and a dud repacement tablet pc. HERE IS A WARNING: there are many Consumer Web sites that report on Star Pads please research them before buying. I don't mean review sites that receive money for their reviews. I mean sites that real purchasers of Star Pads write their experiences of these tablets and the company selling them Android Tablets I have not finished trying to get my wasted money back and if I am given the opportunity I will let you know the conclusion. Now just try trying to return a replacement item it is impossible to get the correct information through Amazon

this tablet is very good quality build very clear picture and very quick.as good as any other top end tablet.their is only one thing that lets this item down and that is the quality of the camera is poor

paired up with my tablet no problem nice and easy to use, typeing is effortless, some nice and easy function keys back button, cut copy paste, volume up down, all in all it works great and at a great price too, would recommend this to everyone with 9.7 to 10.1" tablet looking for a good keyboard and the price is right too, BTW my tablet is a Fusion5 Premium+ which fits into the slot just nicely, this item gives your tablet a very professional look.

Can't believe I'm even giving this 2 starts. Absolute waste of money. Crashes constantly. I should have returned this item when it became faulty within the first 6 months but then it started to work again so decided to stick with it. Big mistake. Tablet started it usual faulty tricks but by then it was out of warranty. Never again will I purchase an item with only 6 months warranty when i could buy from a reputable local well known store that offers 2 years warranty. within 8 months the charger blew up and i'm now trying to source another. I contacted the seller who has chosen to ignore me and I have now contacted Amazon to intervene. Paid over £200 for this item and it just not worth the money.

This is my second tablet. My first, was not from this company, and well basically it 'died'. It went into something called 'Meta-Mode' and nothing would work. All i had was a black screen. Unfortunately the manufacturer had withdrawn the product. So Amazon gave me a full refund. Thank you Amazon. Now onto the Cambridge StarPAD3. 10.1" I've only had it a few weeks, so these are really only my initial impressions of the StarPAD3. It is a good tablet, but by no means perfect. First the well not really faults, more um annoyances. 1 -- I really dislike the charging unit. It's a two pin unit, which requires an adapter, (the adapter is supplied) to fit UK plug sockets. Occasionally the charging unit gets really hot. It can be charged via a mini USB plug. 2 -- The sound isn't all that good from the on board, single built-in, rear mounted speaker. Again, my previous tablet had far better quality speakers. and cost about the same price. I think the main problem with the sound, is the tiny speaker on the rear of the tablet. My previous tablet had twin speakers on the front. so if you lay the StarPAD3 down, on a surface it dims the sound. Its the same if you buy a case for it. The single rear speaker is covered. 3 -- The mini USB socket, along with a number of other sockets, Are hidden behind a really flimsy, and delicate looking flap. So far I haven't used the USB socket for charging the tablet, mainly because of this flap. It only seems to be held on by a single, delicate clip. It will be too easy to break it off. Not a really big problem, but its annoying. Yes I know, its a fairly cheap table, and you get what you pay for. 4 -- Again, kind of minor. The table its self is 10.1". The screen however is 8.5". The previous table I had, also a 10" model, and almost the whole of the 10" screen was viewable. 5 -- Also even with the brightness on full, some videos are still very dark, even when the lighting in the program is bright. Having said all of the above, I want to add that I do like the StarPAD3 10.1" tablet. The 3G option makes it easy to use everywhere, which is the main reason I chose the 3G version. My previous tablet was also 3G and the StarPAD3 seems as fast as it was, while it was working. Although the screen on the other was slightly bigger and slightly better quality. Its the above 5 annoyances that mean I can't give it 5 stars. As for the customer service. Well so far, I've not had to use it, though I have only really had the tablet a few weeks. Equipment wise, you get a number of cables, including. A set of ear phones. The ( crap, at least, as far as I'm concerned) charging unit, and UK 3-pin adapter. A short 4.5" mini USB male - to full size female cable. And a much longer almost 48" mini (male) USB to full size (male) USB cable. Also included is a separate WiFi keypad. This is charged via a mini USB socket. It works pretty well, you can also use it as a stand for the StarPAD3. The StarPAD3 comes with an internal capacity of 16GBs, which it is claimed can be expanded to a max of 32GB via a micro sd card. I had a 64GB micro sd card from my previous tablet, and use it wih the StarPAD3 and it reads everything on it without a problem. It also takes a FULL size SIM card, unlike my previous tablet, which required a mini SIM card. Despite the annoyances, my initial impressions are favourable. But as I said, I've only had it a few weeks, so I cant say much for how well, or long it will last. My main criticisms are the rear mounted single speaker and the charging unit. I have read reports on other forums, which give negative long term results, but we shall see.

I thought Cambridge would be a good quality tablet but its not. The picture quality is bad. Its not even able to play YouTube songs in a good way, it hardly goes to 360p. The sound quality is OK. And just after 1 day simple browsing in chrome is lagging. You have to wait few seconds before each touch. For this price of 105 , I thought it would be much better. I found same configuration tablets at price of 60 in amazon.

Overall, this is a good product with loads of great features. It has a really smooth captive screen, full android market, flash 11. The internet is fast and easy to view (you can zoom in and open pictures in a different window etc.) you can use a mouse of keyboard with it, it is a nice clean white design, is cheap (unlike the iPad, starting at £399), it is quite light, the camera is brilliant in a lit room, and it has lots of convenient settings. A few negative points are that the camera is low quality in a dark room, some apps are not compatible with the device, and some apps + practically all downloads from the internet need an SD card, but these can come from £1.99 on Amazon, so this isn't too much of a problem. In conclusion, this is a brilliant device, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I give 4 stars even though there are a few negative points; they are well outweighed by the good points and the price of the device.

I spent a lot of time looking into what tablet to buy for the money and what I needed it for. I am not dissdapointed with the choice I made. Not only british made but good quality feel to it and runs the applications quickly and without problems. Struggled to understand how to setup if you did not have a Wireless connection, called the helpline and had some great advise on how to set my phone up as a mobile router (new to me) which was great, now I can use this anywhere I go. Great value for money and far cheaper than the ipad or galaxy tabs and does the same things. One advantage over the ipad is you can buy extended memory for it which you cannot do with the ipad. Major plus for this unit.
