This Brix refractometer is a great value for a quality piece of scientific equipment. It accurately measures the sugar content in food and can be used for food production, wine making or beer making. My son who is a science teacher said he can even use it with his fancy coffee making. It is small and portable, very well made and functional. It looks to be durable and sturdy for repeated use.

Did exactly what I needed it to. Only downside is water easily got inside the screen cover. But not a deal breaker.

I’m really disappointed with this product. First, the buttons are in Chinese (the screen is in English). Secondly, the readings I’m getting are different from the same samples or very close between syrups and watery mixes. I’m not feel very confident about those readings. I’m returning it.

We loved being able to check the sugar content of our peaches in our orchard as compared to the grocery store!
