Aqualisa 555701 Smooth Shower Hose, 1.5m, Chrome

Bought this after our original stainless steel hose pipe became a nightmare to keep clean as am sure you have all experienced. This hose is a MUST for anyone with a shower head. So easy to fit and is sleek with no maintenance needed. it always looks shiny. Bought this to fit on an Aqua Lisa shower head (also replaced).it looks like brand new shower again. No need to try and get a cleaning brush in between that metal spiral hose we previously had either. Very good quality and worth every penny. very pleased. would recommend everyone replace theirs with one of these. Just right length too. We also have one in our wet room too.

Bit expensive, but good quality. Better than metal one, I had before.

Looks great after having my original metal ridged hose on my Aqualisa Quartz shower for 18 1/2 years having always kept it limescale free. Had to be careful not to cross thread it on installation, but otherwise easy to install. This one is going to be so much easier to clean. Bought a “used mint condition” at a discounted price item which looked pristine, so great value at just under £40 I have just ordered another for my second shower, so hope this one as good as first and lasts as long as my original ones

You get what you pay for, Aqualise is quality

The benefit of installing a smooth shower hose is that they don't rust, there is no chrome to flake off and they are easy to wipe clean. If you have had an articulated metal shower hose you find calcium build up, from lasting water droplets gather in the U where the hose is at its lowest point. Eventually the chrome breaks off or becomes discoloured. The only slightly difficult issue is that these hoses have smooth metal screw on connectors (no crosshatch). To get a tight fit you need to wrap a couple of layers of cloth around the connector and use a Robo Grip or flexible pliers to screw it tight. You will need a washer in there as well - which was not supplied with the hose

after years of trying to keep the standard Aqualisa hose on my Quartz shower this look so much classier. Going to be far easier to clean. Fitted in no time, everything supplied. Not the cheapest being an OEM part but, I guess, you get what you pay for and can pray for fitting properly, longevity and not affecting the performance of the shower.

Arrived in good time & first class condition. Fitted well although there was a slight leak at the connection to the shower unit which was easily solved by adding another rubber washer. Very pleased with this purchase.
