FLIR ONE Pro LT - High resolution Thermal Imaging Camera for iOS Smartphones (iPhone w/Lightning Port Only)

Based on reviews, I wasn’t sure if this was up to the task of locating in floor radiant heat lines, but it did an excellent job! The only diffference between this version and the next pricier one is the temperature range detected. For our application, this was sufficient, but for serious commercial grade electrical or electronics work, you would want to buy the next step up. This unit seems ideal for residential applications and would be excellent for performing energy audits or home inspections. Only downside is that battery life is short, I get less than two hours of use out of it on a full charge, so you need to be quick and snap photos or take videos for later reference.

Love it, works well, image is clear, app actually works. Bought on sale and saved a ton.

I have used this for the last 6-7 months. I will say past couple months it has trouble connecting to my iPhone. I have a 12pro. But other then sometimes taking 10 min to connect to my phone it’s awesome. Great for the price. I highly recommend this brand. I have used knock off brands and they other brand that connects to iPhone. Non of them find the sweet spot like a flir can. I have prob almost a hundred pictures I’ve taken with this Flir and saved to my iPhone. That’s prob my favorite part so I can send what I see to the customer. Also worked well checking to see which hives have made it through the winter as seen in the first photo. Middle hive survived and the other outside two died. In conclusion I’d say no other brand in this price range compares. Get a Flir.

I’m happy with this infrared camera and it will help me to make home improvements with insulation weak spots for winter and summer. It is also useful for finding hot devices quickly, and “seeing” duct work and water leaks through drywall and ceiling. With the instant temperature readout in the image, the camera is also useful for taking a person’s forehead temperature, or spotting someone in a crowd that might be hotter than everyone else. The battery doesn’t seem to last long for extended use or multiple projects through a day, but it does last long enough to finish a project. To properly overlay and align a visible light image onto the infrared image, the camera requires adjustment based on distance from the subject which is a pain to try to keep up with during a project unless you maintain the same distance. Sometimes my phone seems to lose the connection to the camera and I need to pull it off and restart to continue. Other than these concerns, the device is very useful and will help to survey and improve home heating and cooling, my main purpose.

This has been an invaluable tool for diagnosing issues in my Lincoln Navigator and at home. It’s incredibly useful for pinpointing electrical faults in the vehicle, helping me identify problem areas quickly. I also used it to detect water intrusion in my house, and it was spot-on in locating leaks. Another great use has been checking the insulation in my chicken coop, ensuring it’s properly sealed for temperature control. This device is versatile, accurate, and easy to use—definitely a must-have for troubleshooting!

Really nice to find hot spots in your house during summer, where more insulation is needed. Can see the 2x4s in the walls transferring heat! Automotive uses are many also. Very high resolution on screen.

This does the job. My afterthought was I should have purchased a separate device instead of having to rely on my iphone. The battery only last 20-30 mins and it will run the iphone battery down as well. I don't use it much but it's handy to have when the need arises, just be aware of the limitations.

Handy device if you need one. Be sure to NOT keep it attached and placed in your pocket or you could snap the connector. To keep a good connection with my iphone port I only use a magnetic backed charger for the phone and a port cover to keep the pins clean. iphone port pins only use certain ones for certain functions. The port cover from temu keeps the pins clean and not getting damaged from cleaning gunk that gets in one’s pockets while working. This leaves you a good connection with this thermal device. The company Flir is a stand up business with the ethics of the old days. They’ve made way bigger, better industrial products and this has those attributes of the great things they’ve made possible.
