Some years back, the best Doctor I ever had got me started on taking fish oil supplements. It's great for the skin, hair and heart. The main thing I remember him saying was "Don't buy just any fish oil, it has to be northern deep cold water fish." So with that as a basis, I began the journey of trying different brands. Over the years, some small, some gave me the fish burp (yuck!), some were good but faded away in time. Then I found the 'Smarter' brand: quality alaskan fish, no burp (maybe a little strawberry essence sometimes...), good eazy swallow size and don't care what they say I only take one a day, every day tho, and sure, a bit pricey compared to some others but beware the cheapies - anchovy, sardines, non-descript-fish... 150 days at current price works out to about .27 cents a pill/a day. Your worth it!

I really like this so far! The inside of the bottle actually smells so good, like strawberries! Taste/smell wasn't really an important factor for me, but this is a nice bonus. These capsules weren't completely burpless for me, when taken on an empty stomach, but the burps weren't fishy at all, and tasted like strawberries so it didn't bother me at all! If you take these capsules with food, these are probably burpless. The capsules are about the same size as most fish oil pills, so they were easy enough to swallow most of the time. As for how well the pills work, it's probably a little too soon to tell for me, so I plan to update this review later and adjust the rating accordingly, but so far it seems to work well enough like most other quality fish oil capsules. I do like that this brand seems to use quality ingredients without any extra added unhealthy ingredients added, and the dosage of the EPA and DHA seem to be a good amount, and you only need to take two capsules a day rather than three like a lot of other brands. I share these capsules with my mother and brother to help with joint pain/headaches, and it seems to work well enough so far! Will update this review later after taking it for longer. Anyway, I do recommend this brand so far, because 3 bottles of fish oil for about $30 from a good brand seems like a pretty good deal! I will probably re-order this.

This fish oil is the hope I was looking for. As it doesn’t help with my cholesterol as it is hereditary, it has been fantastic for my joints. Before taking these, I look like I was a 90 year old in the winter. My joints hurt very little, if at all, in the cold months. My movement in the summertime is so much better also.

These vitamins smell so good and are a lot smaller than most brands making them even easier to swallow. I Just received these so will be back to update this review. I have tried some of their other vitamins and they work so I am pretty sure these will be fabulous. Plus all the other reviews are really good giving updates on how well they are doing them. Update 2/29/20 Just got my second bottle and am really liking how I am feeling and my husband does as well. I definitely will be staying with this brand. I have tried some of their other supplements like the brain support and do feel sharper and recalling things a lot better in my memory. I would highly recommend these Omega 3's fish oils and their other supplements.

I have difficulties swallowing large capsules, so for years I've been taking Carlson Labs Elite Omega-3 chewable lemon-flavored fish oil capsules. I liked the product, but last month I read some information about the Smarter Vitamins Omega 3 Fish Oil with strawberry flavor, and it captured my attention. I was not sure whether it would be okay to chew the Smarter Vitamins capsules, so I wrote the company, and Tanya from Customer Support responded promptly. She noted that the product wasn't advertised as a chewable, but the gel shell and the oil itself had some strawberry flavoring, so it should be possible to chew the capsules without being overwhelmed by the fishy taste. She even chewed one to try it! Anyway, I purchased a bottle, and I am very pleased to report that for the past month I have chewed one or two every day with supper. I think they taste great--maybe a bit of fish oil, but mostly of strawberry--and there is no fishy aftertaste. I actually like the taste of the gel and contents. Everyone's taste buds are different, so I can't conclude that everyone who needs to chew a fish oil capsule will love this product, but it's definitely worth a try if you are looking for chewable fish oil capsules. It's hard to compare how I feel with this product versus the Carlson product, but I have to say that I have had a lot more energy in the past month, and the only difference in my diet and supplements has been the switch to the Smarter Vitamins Omega 3 Fish Oil.
