Great inexspensive DRO.
I've bought several of these, they are easy to install and easy to use. Amazing how many features there are on these economical DRO's. Bolt circle, find center, and many other features. They are very accurate also.

Nice upgrade to a Grizzly mill
I ordered custom lengths (X/Y/Z=350/200/300) for a Grizzly G0463 mill. Increments of 50 mm only. This is a DIY kit with no instructions whatsoever. To get an electronic copy of the manual for the display, go to their website. Refer to the photos for details on the install. The scales have been accurate and repeatable, with easy on screen switching between metric and SAE. The read heads run underneath the scale, which keeps things cleaner, at least for the X & Y axis'. The included hardware, including scale covers are nice. I was able to use some of the parts, with the rest custom machined and 3D printed parts. I don't like that the read head is the same thickness as the scale, which requires you to shim the scale out to keep it from rubbing on a moving stage...a minor issue.

Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Very good DRO
I bought the 3 axis package for my Bridgeport. Mary and I had a brief discussion about the length of the encoders and the DRO arrived in about a week. It was exactly what we had agreed upon. The encoders had glass scales and were easy to install, the gaps and parallelism of the mount were very forgiving making it easy to get up and running. The readout has many features making things like bolt circles and hole patterns easy to program. The readouts are bright green and their intensity can be set from dim to very bright over 7 levels. I am planning to buy the 2 axis version to replace the Heidenhien DRO I currently have on my lathe and if you are in the market for a DRO, I would recommend this product as it is a good value for the money.

Overall great value & addition to any Lathe/Mill
As a self-proclaimed hobby machinist, I did a lot of research to determine A) what DRO system I wanted B) respective scale sizes that will fit my mill. This was my first DRO install which resulted in ~10 working hours, but trust the process & enjoy a couple cold ones and you'll be okay. Hopefully the pictures & information below will serve as an aid in making your DRO purchase/install. SPECS USED - ENCO Model 100-1599 (49" x 9") -Longitudinal Travel (X): 35" - 37" Scale -Transverse Travel (Y): 12" - 14" Scale -Vertical Travel (Z): 16" - 18" Scale PROS: -Overall good quality scales/encoders/box -Numbers appear to accurate, but I will conduct further testing to verify -Quick shipping & good packaging -Great communication from seller CONS: -Hardware (socket cap screws, washer, brackets) is generic and could probably be disregarded -Manual is quite poor, rely on YouTube as a better reference -Shield covers are thin and don't allow for much room for mounting holes, but it's better than nothing TIPS: -Start with X, then Y, and finish with Z axis - Easiest -> Hardest -Use a digital level to estimate positioning before dialing in with indicator -Make sure you have plenty of hardware on hand! This includes nuts, bolts, taps, and various sized washers -Slightly & carefully ream ends of mounted hole to accept 1/4-20 bots (common & cheap to acquire) -I recommend custom brackets for Y & Z axis install, and baseplate for Z (depending on machine model) -Wait till the end to perform cable management. Use oversized P-clamps where slack is needed (Y & Z)

you need these for your mill
they fit good on my Wen 33013 mill, just make sure you have plenty of drill bits, you will break a few installing these, the cast iron like to eat bits, once installed which is easy (besides the bits breaking), it works great, very accurate and read instructions, programming will get easier with use, I highly recommend these, make sure after you order to check the messages from the vendor from orders screen, then problem with order, they will ask you for confirmation of the sizes.

Great for 2.5yrs so far
Bought a 3-axis set for my milling Ma chi one 2.5yrs ago and it has been flawless ever sense. I’m just a hobby guy so it’s not heavy use, but I’m very happy with the ToAuto stuff so far. In fact I just ordered a 2-axis set from them for my lathe.

Essential addition to a Mini Mill
The ToAuto DRO has been an essential addition to my Little Machine Shop 3990 Mini Mill. I purchased the 150mm (y-axis), 300mm (z-axis), and 350mm (x-axis) glass scales. With carefully thought out installation, this DRO has performed flawlessly! It makes machining on the mini mill very easy because there is no need to lay out feature dimensions on a workpiece. Using a simple edge finder, spot drill, and the DRO; positions for drilled and bored holes are extremely easy. Milled features are simple to accomplish as well. I used the DRO to machine several parts for a power feed on the x-axis. This project required the precise machining of three mounting plates so that there is exact alignment of the components when assembled to the mill table. The ToAuto DRO made the process easy and accurate. Also, the custom ordering process went smoothly and customer service was terrific. I highly recommend ToAuto DROs.

Works as expected. simple to set up. Quality is, as the price suggests, but perfectly acceptable. What I would really like to comment on is this seller; they were amazing. They then emailed me promptly, asking me specific lengths. Great communication and got it to me in half the time they said it would. Definitely would recommend.

I had been wanting to purchase one for a while, finally decided to take a chance and am sure glad I did. Install seems daunting but once you get going it's easy. Take your time and indicate the scale in. If you're thinking about getting one for your mill or lathe just do it. You'll be very glad you did! Great seller, great communication and great DRO.

Installed on my mill a year ago. A little work to install scales but well worth it.
