I had been using an old fashioned soil moisture tester that only indicates moisture from wet to dry, the kind that a needle sways one way or the other representing how moist the soil is. It's really hard to actually gauge the actual soil dampness. However, this neat soil tester actually tells exactly what the moisture level is AND the temperature. This would be an incredible addition to anyone who has a greenhouse that needs monitoring. It is well built, and seems like it'll last a long time because of that. I definitely recommend this for helping keep your plants happy and healthy.

I've never been great with potted plants, but I want to be! I bought this to specifically use with potted plants and this thing helps a lot! It's nice to know how dry your pots are - or aren't. I'd have given it five stars if it had some way of staying connected through my home network so it could push notifications for alerts you set up (too dry, too wet).

Doesn't connect to the rainpoint yellow wifi water timer. This is compatible with the same water timer hub but as the pictures shows it doesn't connect to it

The hub that goes with it as written in the description doesn’t exist! Got a completely different reading than the other rainpoint moisture meter I was comparing it to. Both were useless. Great ideas. Terrible products.

Loved! Easy use with the app integration. Seamless application for those unfamiliar with soil meter. Provides instant results after inserting it into the soil.

Isn’t a const feed you have to walk to it and hit the button a stay within a few feet. This became an issue when growing new grass and not wanting to trample it. It snapped off of the stick when my 6 pound dog lightly tripped over it

Seems to work fine, but no way to delete plants. Also the slider bars for setting up plants is tricky. But I am happy enough. Would like to be able to keep brief notes for each plant.

Interesting product. I have been using it on an indoor potted plant. If your plant is not on the list of available options, you can create a custom plant with soil humidity and temperature ranges. Readings seem accurate. I use this company's outdoor Bluetooth water timer that connects to my hose bib. I really like that product as a part of my outdoor potted plant irrigation system. Both products always are available through the app for me. I never have had connection issues. I also have the mini socket hub.
