Made to fit a Jet but adapted to Rikon 1516VSR
Used this stand for a Rikon 1516VSR wood lathe. Used two pieces of 3/4" plywood to make adapters. Worked out very well. The stand is stable, well made, easy to assemble, and nicely finished. Itʻs a good size for a mid-sized lathe.

Sturdy, well made
The stand fits the Jet lathe perfectly. It is stable, it doesn't move or shift when I'm turning but I'm also not turning giant burl pieces. Side tool holder could be improved a little but the basket beneath is handy. Excellent pairing w/ the 1221 VS lathe.

Glad I didn’t build one!
I decided no purchase the stand over building one. Very glad I did. The stand takes up little room, it is very stable, and was easy to assemble. The footprint of the stand is fairly small, I really doubt that a diy stand would be as compact. The price was a little higher than I would have expected, and I could have saved a few bucks building a stand, but I have been totally satisfied.

Awesome stand!
This is an awesome stand. Simple to set up and fits my lathe perfectly. I gave 4 stars because i thought it should be able to sit a little lower.

Glad I bought it
It may seem a bit expensive for a stand, but I'm glad went ahead and purchased it. Now I can have a dedicated area just for the lathe without taking up room on one of my workbenches. I recommend that you ensure the height is set the way you want it before bolting the lathe on. I had to change it once. You will probably want to get help to place the lathe on top of the stand. It is very sturdy and I have had no issues with it moving when I'm turning wood.

Well made and fits the lathe very well.
I am 5'10' tall and the only issue for me (and it is a minor one) is that the lathe sets a little higher than I would prefer with the mount set at it's lowest setting.
