It is good to have chibi taught by a professional (or at east someone who is skilled at the art style) and this book is absolutely fantastic. A brilliant introduction to chibi, and while many people may not have all the required resources at hand, you can still create beautiful artwork without all of the equipment. Very good mainly because it had many diferent ideas and inspiration, clear explanations and fun artwork to try and recreate. Would recommend to begginers and pros alike.

Bought as a gift for my great niece, it was as she expected. First time she had done chibi so a good starter book but she is extremely talented at art and drawing.

I follow the artist on Instagram and had no idea she had her own book until I saw it recommended to me by amazon and I ordered it right away! It's such a helpful guide with detailed instructions and lots of different features to add to your own art, such as different eyes, hairstyles, mouth etc. Best chibi guide I have seen, if you want to learn how to draw them really well get this book. It's so cute and brilliant!

I ordered this on December 5th, with Amazon notifying me that I would receive it before January 1st. I received it on the 17th of January. Shipping time aside, I bought it for my 11 year old daughter who loves drawing anime and these chibi characters, similar to the Gatcha Life characters. The book itself is good quality and quite thick, giving lots of examples and tips on how to draw the characters. My daughter is really happy with it and has already started to use it. So if you don't mind waiting a while to receive it, it is a really nice book.

Bought for my daughter who loves the whole chibi / cutie type of thing....If your child (or yourself) would like a run through on how to create this type of sketch; this is a must have. Clear and concise; it missed 1 star only because I could not find a companion course; i.e. a quick video to engage artists; young and old alike. I would recommend this book.

Everything is explained really well and it is written in such great detail, much more than other books of it's kind!

I've purchased a few how to draw books and this one is by far the best. It shows you how to draw a lot of different poses instead just the basic front facing and side on chibi. These poses range from front facing, walking, sitting, and in action poses like flipping pancakes. Theres also pages about the different chibi mouths and noses and how that changes the expression of chibis and perhaps one of the simplistic and understandable way of hair direction. It also includes how to draw chibi boys, girls, ears, tails, and hair. This book literally covers everything you could want to know and more so I would highly recommend it.

Bought for my 9 year old niece who loves drawing and is already very good, she has not put it down and has already drawn 5 of the chibi characters in the first day of receiving it! Has told me its a 10/10 thumbs up from her!

Very good book. Teaches you about more than just step-by-step chibis. This book mentions enough color theory to get you started and even helps you pick out your shadow colors. They mostly talk about traditional techniques but can be converted to digital if you're a digital artist. They talk about how chibis are used in anime/ manga which is nice. There's an inspiration gallery that they encourage you to utilize, even in your own drawings. There's a trove of knowledge and I'm super satisfied. Even as an older, more experienced artist, I was able to learn new techniques and ideas. If you're buying this book for children, it will be teaching them art techniques they can carry with them forever! Possibly setting them up for more than just drawing chibis! Chibis are a great stepping stone into art. The anatomy is much simpler and the cuteness factor is a huge plus! Highly recommended!

I loved it but there was some spelling mistakes and I got mixed up on drawing a he instead of a she.

Anny Yaoi is a very talented artist I have followed on Instagram for a long time. So I was very excited for this book’s release. It is very easy to follow and breaks all the steps down into an easy to replicate tutorial that had me drawing professional looking Chibi characters by the end. As someone who has always struggled with hands and hair, Yaoi’s book shows some techniques to better understand the process for properly drawing them.
