Great game - hours of fun
Had games in this series before and Tropico 6 is defo the best of the lot. Hours of fun, although a little complex for the younger ones.

Enjoyed the game, but population is capped at 1000 for console players.
Enjoyed to a point, but the pc version has a population limit of 10,000 where as the console is restricted to 1,000 so you can never build a really decent city. Plus can also be rather "buggy"..

Typically Tropico
I remember playing an earlier version on another console and this is remarkably similar despite it's 'El Prez Edition' banner headline, (In fact, the 'extra' download content is just the manual and postcards already in the box unless I'm missing something). Not a bad game by any means, which is basically build stuff while under time and in game character pressure constraints but you can play at various difficulty levels to progress. One small gripe, which seems to be getting worse with more and more games released these days, not just this one, is the amount of 'tutorial' learning needed to play a game. It took hours just to work out what does what and trust me, you need to pick it up at the start to progress but that said, it's a light-hearted, fun enough game to while away some time, with plenty to occupy and containing a basic grasp of economics for younger players. I've paid more for a lot less and this just about gets a four star rating from me, because of it's overall content and potential game hours to complete, with a side of tongue in cheek dark humour.

Product fine, game is too busy and with serious issues.
Loved Tropico from the start, but I think this release I can miss. Too busy and it feels like it doesn’t know what it wants to be. Endless protests despite having a happy populace - Activist kids for the sake of it turned adult game writer. Building designs that are pure trash. World monuments that don’t belong on the island Certain right wing concepts taken out of the policy/constitution elements, despite being a game with dictatorship/authoritarian island set up. Over complex micro management that detracts from a game play experience that was so smoothly pulled off in last games. Road building and sometimes building placement is ridiculous and leads to frustrating design issues No idea if there is a population cap like people say, I don’t think the game will pull me in enough to care. I don’t feel like a tropical dictator munching on a cigar, overseeing my island. I feel like some civil servant in a country whose whole management set up is Kafkaesque to say the least. About fifty trillion companies logos load up before the game. Who ever is actually responsible, needs to not have fixed what wasn’t broken. Just polish it. Game is ruined

Spammy, unplayable and very rude
Tropico 4 was great, Tropico 5 was below average, Tropico 6 is absolute rubbish. In the main screen, they are constantly aggressively harrassing you to take part in a survey. There's no way to get rid of that and find your peace of mind. Ever. And to make it even worse, they tell you that apparently you're not Presidente, but just some random Tropican! They have reversed the zooming functionality, so if you have played Tropico 4, you can't play Tropico 6. While you're trying to zoom in or out, there are sudden massive jumps between total zoom in and total zoom out. The road building tool has serious problems and there are cases where you cannot have a road connecting a mine on a small island to the rest of the land, because there are parts where the road cannot connect. I've tried everything! The new characters are extremely rude, including the new unfunny and annoying Penultimo. Just 2 minutes into the game, it's already too much abuse from the game against the player.

They never disappoint
Tropical is one of my favourite games. Never disappoints. I loose hours playing this franchise. I certainly get my monies worth.

Great fun!
Have loved Tropico since Tropico 3. Whilst struggling to adapt to the economics at the start with new systems and money making schemes. After a brief learning curve the game is fun, easy to learn, and easy to play on Console. Fun way to pass the time for sure!
