All 4 one Indeed, great hedge trimmer, cut depth is exactly what it says it is, it doesn’t lie or pretend what it can do, haven’t noticed any problems with the strap or clips like others but that might be a long term thing! Very easy to assemble, very easy to use, good angle changes, cordless is always helpful, only thing I would say is that it’s not short and it’s not light

After many hours of researching different brands of pole trimmer, I finally decided on this one from Bosch, mainly due to having several Bosch power tools over the years that have served me well. Have used it several times since purchase on a tall conifer border and so far, very happy with it for light to medium trimming. Pros: Excellent build quality. Quick charging battery. (around 1 hour). Good battery life when being used (around 50 minutes or so of light triming). Multi position Tilting head. Easy to assemble and use. 2 year warranty as standard, extended to 3 years if registered on Bosch website. Cons: As some other reviews have mentioned, does feel a little bit underpowered at times. A 24v option would have been nice. Having said that, it is absolutely fine for 'light' trimming of conifers and bushes. Feels a little heavy when extended, however, I think all trimmer poles will be like this as the cutting head is heavier than the battery/handle. The support strap does help to alleviate this. Overall, I would recommend this for light to medium trimming.

I bought this to replace a cheaper pole hedge trimmer that broke on the first use. This was more expensive but I have got other Bosch tools so I felt comfortable spending the extra. It is fairly light and easy to use in the vertical position when cutting tall hedges. It can feel a bit heavy if cutting short hedges where you hold it horizontally but this can but helped by using the enclosed shoulder strap. I have used it on a large privet hedge and it coped very well both on the sides and on the top. I have used it on a fir tree to cut overhanging branches upto the max thickness, it never jammed once. The battery was still working after 40 minutes. It comes with a 2.5ah battery but it also works with my Bosch drill battery which is 1.5ah so it is versatile. It comes with a 3yr warranty as well. Highly recommend this tool.

Cuts really well, when fully extended is heavy.

Pros: Very good battery life. Good build quality. Tilting head helps massively. Extremely easy to set up and get going. Cons: It's very underpowered (which means the battery lasts longer) Can't cut through anything more than a few millimetres. Quite heavy. Overall this doesn't meet my needs as I needed it to cut through some thicker branches. However, on the hedge in my front garden it was fine. It just took longer because of the lack of power. If you just need a basic high hedge cutter, and the branches aren't thicker than about 5mm, you should be fine. Anything more than that, I'd be looking for something else.

The very best hedge trimmer I ever owned. Very long extendable neck and the blade can be rotated to suit every position. It seems not powerful enough at first but it goes through the hedge (hornbeam) like a hot knife through butter. Super! Can feel a little unwieldly at full extension however. Battery life is amazing and at last I am not cutting through electrical cords every time I cut the hedge!!

Bought this because I have a couple of large hedges just like the marketing imagery. One is even a laurel like in the image. It is heavy and having the connector for the strap breaking in half an hour may be minor, but then again might not be. It’s no good for trimming a hedge like in the marketing imagery. It can’t cut anything other than some of the leaves and very thin branches. Everything else get moved out of the way. If your hedge is more than a couple of feet thick then you still have to get up a ladder to cut the centre strip of the hedge. That’s defeating the point really. I ended up back up the ladder with shears! Also cutting the sides of the hedge is very difficult I found, much easier with a pair of shears. I am very disappointed with the product and would not recommend it unless alll you have is a very light hedge e.g. privet and its not very wide.

The product seems well built, the cordless works well, the battery power lasts and does everything the manufacturer's claim so I have given it 4 stars. However the product is of limited use. Some of my comments probably apply to most long handled hedge trimmers. I bought it to cut a 5 meter high hedge. Standing on the lower rungs of a step ladder and with the blades pointing straight up I can just about reach the top but it becomes tiring after a short while. The hedge had a year's growth and it cut this with no difficulty however if there was 2 years or more growth then I think it would struggle. When I adjusted the head to 90 degrees to cut the top of the hedge I lost about 2 feet in length so had to go further up the step ladder and the trimmer felt a lot heavier and difficult to use . As the hedge was wider than the trimmer blades I had to get my extension ladder out and cut the top with extending hand shears; whilst I was up the ladder I might just as well cut the hedge with my normal hedge trimmer! It becomes particularly useful where I could not use the extension ladder for example cutting the hedge immediately behind a shed. It is therefore not a complete solution to cutting a high hedge but a "useful additional tool to have in the toolbox" . It is also good for cutting stand alone trees/bushes up to about 2.5 metres such as Leylandi and Laurel; also Ivy, Honeysuckle growing up walls as I do not have to get the ladder out..

(commentaire mis à jour le 31.03.2020) Quand au déballage j’ai vu la longueur du lamier (seulement 43 cm) et la petitesse des dents, je me suis demandé si ce "jouet" pourrait faire le travail prévu. J’ai été agréablement surpris. Non seulement la machine est capable de tailler les parties hautes et le dessus jdes haies, mais on peut l’utiliser pour balayer par grands arcs de cercle la totalité des surfaces verticales, ce qui aboutit à une coupe très régulière, sans creux ni bosses. Cet appareil sans fil fonctionne sur batterie Lithium-ion 18 V / 2,5 Ah partageable avec toute une gamme d’outils Bosch. L’électronique bénéficie de la puce Syneon développée par le fabricant, qui régule l’énergie en fonction des vrais besoins de la machine. Cela permet de réduire la taille de la batterie grâce à une consommation mieux maitrisée. La longueur de la perche est réglable entre 2.10 m et 2.60 m. Les points forts : - Pas de fil à gérer, pas de recours à un escabeau pour faire les parties hautes, pas même de bras tendus au-dessus de la ligne des épaules, grâce à la perche télescopique et à la tête pivotante ; - La tête de coupe peut pivoter sur 135°. Elle est relevable jusqu’à 60° pour tailler les surfaces verticales sans devoir se mettre au contact de la haie (un réglage à 15° ou 30° est suffisant). Pour le dessus des haies, on peut incliner la tête jusqu’à 75°. Une inclinaison à 90° pourrait sembler logique ; mais cela vous contraindrait à vous rapprocher de la haie au point de vous retrouver le nez dedans ! ; - Système anti-blocage efficace : quand une branche n’est pas sectionnée d’emblée, on perçoit bien une inversion du sens de marche de la lame, sans que jamais elle ne s’arrête ; - Pour les branches plus grosses on peut se servir de l’outil comme d’une scie. Mais il y a des limites : il faut attaquer la branche à la perpendiculaire, et n’espérez pas venir à bout d’une très grosse branche ; - Le silence de fonctionnement est remarquable ; - La bandoulière permet de tenir l’outil verticalement sans effort. C’est un plaisir de se déplacer lentement en arasant le dessus d’une haie. Mais … Les points faibles : - Mais comme la tête de coupe est lourde, les balayages proches de l’horizontale sont très fatigants. L’ensemble serait moins déséquilibré s’il y avait pour la bandoulière un point d’arrimage additionnel un peu plus loin sur la perche (pour bien comprendre, regardez en haut de cette page Amazon la photo du personnage qui tient la perche à l'horizontale). Je suis surpris que Bosch n’y ait pas pensé ; - Le lamier est court (43 cm). Donc vous ne taillerez correctement le dessus d’une haie que si son épaisseur n’excède pas 75 à 80 cm. Au-delà vous devrez utiliser un escabeau. Si vous avez l’habitude de tailler les haies en forme de parallélépipède, je vous rappelle qu’il est souvent conseillé d'avoir une base plus large que la cime, afin que la lumière soit mieux distribuée du haut en bas des arbustes ; - Si la haie présente beaucoup de grosses branches, parce que vous ne la taillez pas assez souvent, ou que vous avez décidé de la rajeunir significativement, vous devrez couper les grosses branches avec un ébrancheur à main ou une machine plus puissante. Conclusion : ce taille-haie télescopique est excellent, à condition de ne pas trop lui en demander. Si vous avez abandonné votre haie à elle-même, vous devrez préalablement la réduire avec d’autres outils. À condition de tailler au moins 1 à 2 fois par an, l'appareil vous donnera satisfaction, et pourra peut-être servir de taille-haie unique. PS : Ma machine a très bien fonctionné pendant 2 saisons de juin 2018 à fin 2019. Au printemps 2020 j'ai constaté que le moteur semblait coincer, alors que la machine avait été stockée au sec dans un garage bien isolé. J'ai renvoyé sans frais le taille-haie à Bosch pour réparation sous garantie de 2 ans. L'engin m'est revenu apparemment en état de marche mais le moteur avait perdu toute puissance : le lamier se bloquait y compris sur de toutes petites branches. J'ai mis la machine en déchetterie. Peut-être aurais-je dû contester auprès du SAV la qualité de l'intervention. Ne sachant pas si ma malheureuse expérience était exceptionnelle ou non, je n'ai pas modifié ma note Amazon. Si vous constatiez le même dysfonctionnement, n'acceptez pas une réparation qui se révélerait insatisfaisante.
