Dynamode 6 Way 1U Horizontal 13A Switched PDU

This PDU is nothing more than a rack mountable power strip. If it wasn't rack mountable, it would cost an awful lot less. However for those of you who need a rack mountable PDU, this is basically the cheapest option for you. There really is not a lot to say about this other than it bolts into the rack and has 6 UK power sockets which you can use to power each of the devices you have mounted in your rack. One thing I wish I could do would be to be able to individually switch on/off sockets on the PDU, with this you can only switch on/off the entire unit at once. As much as I wish this had it, I knew it didn't have individual switches when I bought it, so I can't really mark it down for that. This doesn't have any form of monitoring or uninterruptible power supply built in, so if that's what you need, don't buy this. If you want a basic power supply, for basic equipment that is mounted into a rack, this is a great option for you in the UK.

second one of these. Work fine in the rack I have in my loft. Fit well and had no issues.

Seems well made , although the rack mount ears can be used to screw it into a 19” cage, beware the brackets are wider than 19” , see photos. So in an enclosed rack, that is actually 19” wide it , this item won’t fit , I had to grind around 5mm of each side to fit it in. In an open rack , like most comms racks it will fit fine as there is usually space at the sides.

Great quality power distribution unit. It fits my 19-inch cabinet perfectly and feels very sturdy with its metal casing. The switch has a protective cover to prevent accidental power-offs, which is a nice touch. Ideal for organizing power cables in a home server rack. Does the job exactly as expected!
