Much More Difficult to Use Than I Expected, But Still Fun
Is this a five-star frame or a four-star one? I don’t know, but I’m sure I’m wobbling on the fence, and I know I’ll fall on the four-star side, so that’s what I’m going for. Read the rest of my review so you can decide. The frame and easel of this product are very well made. I appreciate the solidity of the product. It doesn’t wobble, and the directions for assembling the easel and using the frame are clear. I have the smaller of the two sizes of frames. I did find it difficult to flip the sequins the first time I was trying to use this. I still can’t flip the sequins that are near the top and bottom of the frame. I could do it if I got a nutpick or some other fine-pointed instrument to reach under each of the sequins. Otherwise, the frame itself gets in the way of my fingers so they can’t reach the sequins. If I try to use my fingernails the sequins poke under my nails into the tender skin of my fingers. But once the sequins were initially turned I had no difficulties in flipping them again with just a gentle brush of my fingers across the surface, though some of them just plain refuse to flip unless I turn them individually for the first time (it’s time to get that sharp tool). You can make all sorts of broad patterns by stroking this board. Vertical lines are easy to make, though if you wish to make a horizontal line you need to make numerous short vertical lines to complete it. That’s to be expected. It’s fun to stroke your hand and see the color change. Magic! It has a very nice tactile feel to it. I must admit that my grandchildren haven’t had a chance to play with this yet, but I’m sure (knowing them) that they will appreciate it. Also included are five (narrow) pages of stickers that you can use to decorate the frame (or foreheads and back of hands!). The frame is designed to be used in your lap, on a table, sitting on the frame or hanging on the wall.

Very well built and super fun
I attach mine to the studs and our wall right on the frame and it has held up nicely. The sequins are firmly attached and had minimal flake off while breaking it in. Great for all of my kiddos with several age gaps.

Sequins do not flip easily
I’m surprised by the number of 5 star reviews. The one we received is so tightly bound that it’s extremely difficult to flip the sequins everywhere and impossible around the edges. It’s uncomfortable to play with.

Excellent quiet time toy. Even adults like it
I got this sequin board for when my toddler grandson comes to visit. He likes tiny things and figuring out how things work- cause and effect. This board is really nice for some quiet, concentrated investigating, and I love that we can hold it in our laps and snuggle while we play. The sequins are securely stuck to the board- I worried that he might be able to pick them off, but that hasn’t been a problem. The sequins along the edges don’t flip like the ones in the center, but that’s no big issue. It’s a really cool toy, and we like it. The stand is useless, but you don’t need it. I still recommend the board, it’s interesting and inexpensive.

Wish I could do my whole wall in this material- my son loves it
I have a son on the spectrum and he loves to use this panel to create designs and feel the textures. We have it hung on the wall next to his bed, so when he is trying to decompress- he has access to it easily and I wish I could do the whole wall. He uses it to create different images and patterns even when he isn't having an issue and finds it very entertaining.

Only hangs horizontally
UPDATE: Removing a star because I noticed there is an area on the board that the wood is peeling off. So now it looks bad to display, but also it is a safety hazard and will need to be sanded and refinished (which is just a lot of work). Hopefully ours was defected and they don’t all come this way. I tried to get a picture, about a one inch long piece, and behind it you can see it chipping further, although hard to tell in the photo. The second star was removed because in rereading the original review and this update, I think this is a 2 star product. Have nicely finished wood, would very much make this a 5 star product. The stand is a nice touch, but if there was a way to have the stand stop at preset intervals, that would be nicer than a string. It’s best to use as a board ok its own in my opinion. We saw one of these boards at a children museum and I am thrilled to have one at home. It is great, and would be 5 stars except for some minor issues. A few areas on the board (mainly the back) were not smooth and needed to be addressed to avoid splinters. It can only be hung in one direction (horizontal). While it feels durable, it is also pretty expensive. The size is perfect if you want to use it as a fun tabletop/travel board. The blue and silver sequence are bright and you can make shapes, letters, etc. they are sewn tight! Which to me is a good thing, but it does take a little initial (minor) effort to get them turned. Overall, I would definitely buy again/recommend!

Flenpptly Sequin Fabric Sensory Wall
Such a simple concept brings such joy! You’ll see these in play places and sensory gyms everywhere for a reason! Children of all ages and all abilities LOVE them! This is a nice sized sequin fabric board that can be used as it, mounted on the wall using the notches on the wood frame or placed on the included wood easel for play and display. The fabric allows the sequins to flip easily, its affixed well to the board and seems as though it will do well through many, many hours of standard play. This item is well made and when all components are taken into consideration, a good value for the quality! Many sensory items try to take caregivers and parents for all thy can, I appreciate when a good item comes along at a fair price! This is a find!
