this is like a less sweet version of werthers and really coats and soothes throat. my husband been eating too much of the other ones that contain menthol and it dried out/irritated his throat further. this one actually works in aiding that problem!! it tastes so good!!!!!

These Ricola Throat Balm Caramel drops are incredibly soothing. The caramel flavor is warm and comforting, and the liquid center really helps coat and protect my throat when it feels dry or irritated. They work quickly without being too strong or medicinal-tasting. I especially like that they last a long time and provide steady relief, making them great for talking, singing, or getting through a long day. The quality you expect from Ricola is definitely there. I always keep these on hand—they’re gentle, effective, and taste great too.

My husband and I have gotten pretty bad about having conversations from opposite ends of the house, and it’s wearing on my throat and voice. I’ve never been a fan of cough drops — except for Luden’s wild cherry 😋 — bc I absolutely loathe menthol; they’re always way too strong for me: it’s like eating Vick’s Vapor Rub! I was tickled when I found these: Ricola is a trusted brand, and caramel & real honey cough drops!? Yes, please! When they arrived I opened one right away and the second it was in my mouth, I panicked. I looked at the bag and there it was: peppermint. I’m normally very thorough about reading the details, but it’s actually good that I wasn’t thorough with these, bc I love them! The caramel & honey are delicious, and they downplay the mint really well. I have NEVER finished a cough drop that contained peppermint or menthol before: I’ve had 4 of these in 4 hours! I was surprised by how much better my throat felt after the 1st one; it felt like I’d had a cup of herbal tea w/a lot of honey. After the shock of mint wore off, I realized that the caramel flavor was really good: also, I began to notice that the achy, scratchy parts of my throat were beginning to feel better. My favorite part is the honey center, which is ‘licious of course, but I could feel it coating the irritated parts of my throat. Another thing I loved about these is their size: I have a very small mouth, and these don’t take up too much real estate: they’re less than an inch long. “Throat Balm” is a great descriptor for these lil’ helpers: also, they’re gluten-free and vegetarian.

The throat drops are effective and I like that they are rounded, not just hunks of Ricola candy chopped in 1" lengths. Very difficult to open the little pouches in which they are encased.

Always excellent - if you love caramel flavor like I do, you'll love these!! Yummy liquid center, too! They aren't in the stores here. This is the only place I've seen them - just wish the price was better. They cost more for less in the pkg, than the other Ricola flavors. Always love the better ingredients in the Ricola drops - have used them for a couple of decades. They work great!

Dry throat and mouth needed this so badly, and most cough drops don't address that. This worked great and they taste so good. I felt they coated my mouth and throat and helped me heal from a COPD horrific cough I had this winter that took me to the ER only to find out, nothing was wrong with me except my COPD acting up. These were a godsend so THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Great value for the money. They had longevity too and were effective for the proper amount of time you would expect a cough drop to work.

I love Ricola products but have not tried this until now. It tastes very good, like a caramel candy but at the same time, it is helpful with sore throat and cough, I love this.
