sulpher based
it's clay, no none should need more info. though it is sulpher based, so watch which silicone you might use against it.

Great for teaching new blacksmiths
We use this clay with kids to teach them basic blacksmith skills. They pound and shape the clay before moving on to hot metal.

Works great for stop motion
I had to make a stop motion creature for a student short film and needed a clay that wouldn't dry out for several days. This clay still hasn't dried out, and it's been four months. It was easy to sculpt a basic shape with it. It clung to the metal skeleton of the model well. It took awhile to warm up, but was smooth to work with once it was. Overall, I was satisfied.

Four Stars
The clay is very good, but probably should be slightly harder to avoid stickiness in detail work!

Perfect Clay
I used to use Sargent Plastilina and that clay was way too soft for adding details. With Roma Plastilina I can mold it with my hands and work smaller scale with more detail and precision than I could have before

#2 is best for sculpting when fine detail is not needed. It's easy to smooth.
I make Tiki Mugs. This was the best sculpting clay to use for making molds and shipping.

Consistent High Quality
I've been using Roma from Sculpture House since the 1960s for professional purposes and I have never been disappointed in the formulation and its workability. I prefer using the firmer consistencies (3, 4) because my sculpts are usually small but highly-detailed. There have been new clay products introduced to the market, but I've not felt the need to try them because Roma is so reliable; they even introduced a line free of sulfur or those of us who need to fabricate silicone molds, so they listen to their customers.
