Sugar soap is a very good cleaner, but the dilution is difficult to get right, as there are no markings on the bottle, to much and ready the surface for painting, to little and it does not do the job, my guess is they do not mark the bottle, so you use more than you need and buy it again. The 3 starts are for the bottle not the contents
