Yes, this IS the correct one for the Gen6 Carbon. Note that the connector only goes in one way; LOOK CAREFULLY at how the old one was oriented as it won't go in if upside down and you could bend the pins on the motherboard -- use CARE when plugging it back in and make sure you route the wire around the battery fixing post as was the case for the original. The only other note is that before opening the case go into the BIOS and use the power menu to disable the battery -- that way the unit is better-protected against damage if you drop one of the battery screws in the process of removing them to get to the CMOS cell. 10 minutes to change and if your unit is complaining about the date and time being wrong, or the checksum in the CMOS being invalid when you turn it on this is very likely what needs replacement as its just a 2016 coin cell and they do wear out after a number of years. Inexpensive and and an easy fix.

Way cheaper then buying the Lenovo branded one and works just as well.

Bought this for Lenovo X1 Yoga gen 1. Also bought an 00HW028 Laptop Battery and brought this older X1 back to life.

My X1 wouldn't hold the date and time in the BIOS and so wouldn't boot properly all the time. This solved the problem quickly and affordably.

Has to replace the battery on one of my laptops. Battery worked well and no issues since.

Easy replacement, no longer loses CMOS memory/datetime if the battery runs down. Works.
