They fixed it guys. You can remap to keyboard inputs now

I was, at first, disappointed that Razer controller app wouldn't let me remap the buttons to keyboard inputs and only to controller buttons. Like, why would I want 7 a-buttons or 4 x-buttons and 3 y-buttons? It was nonsensical. However, Razer recently released a firmware update which makes the controller synapse-compatible, so I'm ready to commit to saying that I love this controller! I especially like the onboard memory and multiple profiles so it works perfectly without synapse running (after using synapse to remap the buttons, obv). The only two things I really hope Razer adds in a future update is macro support and razer hypershift, which don't work for this device like they do for (all?) Razer mice and Razer keyboards. That would fully unleash the power of this device. Also maybe let me remap all the buttons and change left stick to wasd and right stick to mouse? Just a thought...Until then, I'm forced to use 3rd party software to get those features. reWASD (not free) has those features and works well with this device. The additional buttons are detected as a "wolverine v3 device" which i tell it to recognize as a keyboard. So set the addition bumper buttons to, for example, 1 and 2 in synapse, and then remap 1 and 2 on the "Wolverine v3 keyboard" in reWASD to your combo or your "shift to layer _". Then, you have a lot more customization options. 1 and 2 continue to function as normal when it receives those input from any keyboard other than " wolverine v3 keyboard", so no worries there. Also, the regular buttons are recognized as an "Xbox 360" controller, so just group that with the "wolverine v3 keyboard". Don't forget to mute the remapped buttons. That way, it only sends the remapped input and not both the remapped input and the native input. Unless, that's what you want it to do... Then, go crazyThank you Razer, for fixing your device. It makes it 100x more useful. I doubt you read these, but add those 2 (maybe 3) features, save me the trouble of working around your lack of customization, and you would have a PERFECT controller. But I'm SO happy you fixed the bulk of the problem, that I'm still giving you 5 stars.

Best feeling, best paddles, best software

I hesitated to order this controller for a while since some said it was small. It is actually a bit bigger than xbox controller, it just doesn't seem like it from pictures.A few months ago, I replaced my xbox elite 2 controller with a scuf envision pro. Now I've replaced the scuf envision pro with the razer. For me, there is no comparision between the 2 for comfort. The scuf for me always felt a bit awkward to hold. The back buttons were somewhat hard to press. Felt more like I was sort of hanging onto the controller. The razer just slots into my hands and everything feels completely natural. Obviously your hands might be different but for me razer destroys the scuf for feel. I like the razer better than xbox controller, which I also preferred over scuf for feel. Now for the other aspects of razer vs scufTriggers - I like the feel of the razer a bit more than scuf, but it is closeBumpers - Scuf maybe has a slightly better sound when using, but about same.Thumb sticks - razer is slightly stiffer than scuf, but somehow they move smoother so they feel less resistant. The tops of the sticks also feel better on razer. Less hard edge.D-pad - razer feels a million times better than scuf. Much easier to press the buttons and move from one to the other.back paddles - not even close, the razer has the best back paddles. I like them more than the xbox elite 2 even. And they destroy the scuf back buttons. Much more natural to hold, easier to click. Fits perfectface buttons (ABXY) - this is the only area where I think the scuf might have an advantage, but it is somewhat subjective. The scuf buttons are much easier to activate and have much less travel distance. For platformers especially this makes for a really fast feel. The razer buttons feel a little more like a springy bounce when you are using the face buttons. They work fine and feel good, just not as fast feeling as the scuf.Software - another place that razer destroys the scuf. iCUE is pretty universally hailed as trash. Still to this day every time I launch iCue, it tells me my controller has a firmware update (hint it hasn't since the first day I got it). It is slow to launch, has a clunky interface that isn't intuitive to use. The scuf requires a driver install and it always has the 'eject' icon showing in the task bar whenever the controller is connected. The scuf also will never turn off while it is plugged in and charging. The lights will not stay off either, each time I used the scuf I had to turn the lights off again. The razer on the other hand just works. You plug it in and the drivers already come with windows. Completely seamless. The razer software you can install from the MS Store has a great interface and is easy to use. It just works well.Extra buttons - I prefer the extra top buttons on razer to the side buttons on scuf, but your opinion may vary on that. The scuf side buttons worked well enough assuming you didn't accidently hit them all the time. The front 5 macro buttons were ok but I never really used them as it would have required iCue to be running to remap them.

Cannot buy or find any extra thumbsticks

I'm using this controller for xbox x. The controller seems well built and I love the button responsebut don't expect to pull it out of the box and just use it.To use the app on xbox to custom setup controller you'll need to hook the controller up to a computer and go to razer site and update the firmware. After doing that I tried to use the controller and it keeps disconnecting so then I updated the wireless doggle because I don't want to play with a wire. It seems it may have fixed disconnecting issues but I'll need to try it more. Another issue I have is the controller joysticks asI like both to have rounded tops and you only get on rounded top and you cannot find any from razer or 3rd party to buy.The concave design is making my thumb sore and I see no way to get extra thumbsticks anywhere.I'm going to try it a day or two and it just might need to be returned. I'll update my review in a few days.Update- returned due to random disconnecting for no apparent reason. I wanted to use it wireless but really can't rely on a connection.
