A solution to a problem .. PERFECT!
I was looking for a solution that I didn't think existed until I stumbled upon this little unit. There a few BT-TC/RX units out there but non that I could find that didn't cost the earth and will last a staggering 24hrs on one charge!!! Specs boast high fidelity audio and low latency which all the others do but the continuous usage time of 24hrs... really? I could binge watch a whole series on AMZ Prime!! Arrived in a brown cardboard box with basic logo printed on the front, I like that as it makes me think that someone is looking out for the environment. The box was very light and the thought of spending what I did made me think of a cheap poorly made Chinese unit. Open it up and and the unit is securely held with cardboard tabs. Lift the unit out and open up the tabs reveals a .... micro usb to USB charging cable, 3.5mm jack to l/r phono cable splitter, 3.5mm to 3.5mm patch cable and a SPDIF/TOSLINK Optical cable. The instructions where printed in the smallest font possible on a piece of paper just as small. As with most Chinese products the instructions although in English, were a little confusing. Any tech savvy person will understand if you read between the lines but if your purchasing this type of unit you'll probably know what your doing anyway. Press and hold the power button till it flashes blue, put your headphones into pairing mode (Senheiser 4.50 BTNC) and it connects quickly. The blue light flashes until an input signal is plugged in. Then it just stays solid blue and eventually turn off to conserve power. Apparently you can connect two sets of headphones simultaneously. Before powering the unit on I switched it to TX mode, I want to transmit a signal from the TV to the headphone. Plug the patch into the TV headphones and sit back... I tested the audio with my fave gun battle scene - Heat (bank robbery scene.) Voila audio playback!!! Clear, crisp and plenty of bass. Plugged the phones directly into the TV without the unit and there was no difference!! Very pleased with the results. To test the range I left the bedroom and still no drop outs and flutter. Downstairs and into the garden and the normal BT dropouts occur but then again I can't watch the TV from here so whats the point. Definitely a winner here. So, the unit also a RX mode which allows you to send a signal say from your phone/tablet/PC to stream (AMZ music, Spotify, iTunes). Use the patch cable or phono splitter in the AUX input on your HIFI and you can play through that and control tracks from the source device. If you want you can also use the SPDIF cable if your equipment will support optical IN or OUT if you want to TX the audio. I can now watch TV while my wife sleeps and crank the volume up too! Awesome. Thank goodness the terrifyingly lightweight box with 'Made in China' on the bottom was not a disappointment and I can safely say that it was a good buy after all. *After using this unit and testing with BT Speakers I did notice that the audio lag was non existent with the transmitter. Using my Mac + BT speakers the delay was absolutely noticeable. Another reason why you should get this (3/6/208 - amendment added after 1 week's use)

Lag using bluetooth with my soundbar
I bought this to pair a PS4 to a soundbar. I have the PS4 connected to a projector and wanted the soundbar moved from its position behind where we sit to underneath the screen without an optical cable running across the floor. It paired up no problem. I found it easy to use. Unfortunately the delay between screen dialogue and sound makes it look like we were watching a dubbed movie. I also tried a pairing between the projector and the soundbar it did not improve. It would certainly work well for music. I returned it as the lag was unacceptable to me in fairness this might be down to my soundbar I can't say for certain.

Blown Away
I'm not an audiophile, but I like my music, a lot. And I can tell when I listen to good audio equipment. To set the scene, I have a Cambridge CXA 60 amplifier and a pair of Dynaudio Audience 60 speakers. I stream my Spotify audio from a Rooted Samsung Galaxy 8 with Viper4Android. I've been looking for a Bluetooth receiver to make my setup Bluetooth compatible, and had a number of requirements: Apt-X, Apt-X HD (not available on my Samsung, but useful in the future) & optical output. As soon as I plugged in my unit I was blown away: great sound quality, much better than anticipated from a device at this price point. Great stage, great amount of detail, the sound has substantial body and presence. Powerful lows, rich mids and detailed highs. Guess what: I wanted this as a secondary unit to support my Chromecast Audio, streaming WiFi signal also using optical output. However, it happens that, to my hears, this Bluetooth transmitter sounds more real, more detailed, and delivers a wider stage than Google's prized audio unit... And I'm only halfway through the potential of this device streaming Apt-X! Now, the caveat is: the analogue output does not deliver, and you will better off with Google's Chromecast. I'm sold, and, if you have a optical-ready setup, encourage you to go for it. At this price, it's a no-brainer. You can thank me later.

Nice piece of kit, but make sure your headphones are compatible to benefit
I bought this item so that I could watch tv late at night without disturbing my wife. Setup was straightforward using either the aux cable or the optic cable. Using the aux cable I occasionally get feedback background noise, so I've been using the optical cable. Despite adjusting all of my TV settings, I cannot get the volume control to work with the optical cable connected. Fortunately the default setting is just bearable in volume terms. My Bluetooth headphones do not support aptx or aptx ll, so I'm getting fairly bad lip synch issues. I'll have to invest in new headphones I think. The sound is otherwise clear and crisp and more than acceptable. The unit is permanently connected to the TV so I can't comment on battery life.

Compact quality product
This palm sized component comes with 4 cables (Optical, 3.5mm to 3.5mm, 3.5mm to stereo RCA, micro USB for power). I first tried it in receiver mode with my wired headphone plugged into the Aux port. The sound quality was as good as any bluetooth system i've heard. Next I tried it in transmitter mode by transmitting from my USB DAC 3.5mm output and with the receiving device being UE boom 2. The pairing took 3 attempts and doesn't pair as fast as it does on receiver mode. Neither device has a display to choose or see what is happening during pairing other than the flashing lights during the pairing mode on both devices. Once paired, I heard the sound was bit distorted which I rectified by reducing the volume on my laptop. The output voltage from my USB DAC was a bit too high for this device. Now I used the volume control on UE boom and heard the sound to be really nice and satisfying for my needs. The build quality is great and the device can be powered through any USB port you can find near the intended place of use. I'm very happy with the product and may buy another one to use as receiver while using this as transmitter, to ensure max audio quality signal to the music system.

Great little device!
I bought this transmitter / receiver to replace a USB Bluetooth dongle that was causing my computer to crash! No such problem with this device as it just plugs into the headphone socket. Which means it can also be used in a car or with older stereo systems etc. It's a little fiddly to set up, but once connected to my Bose QC35 headphones it works like a dream. Range is good, battery life is great and sound is fantastic. HiGoing customer service is fantastic too. When they wrote to ask about my experience with the device, I got it confused with the other product that had been crashing my computer and complained about it. They were no doubt very confused as there's no way for this to crash a computer but nevertheless did their utmost to help, even offering to send a replacement. Overall I'm very impressed with both the Bluetooth device and the seller :)

Good but not doing it for me
Nice light unobtrusive device. Tiny instructions text, not that clear. Main issue is I have to re-pair my bluetooth headphones every time I use them, rather than auto reconnect happening. They are top widely used phones and great in every other way, so assuming it is this device that is struggling. Should have forked out more for better perhaps.

Yes, it really works!
Yes, it really works! The only other similar product I have purchased and used was the JETech. That device is smaller, more discrete, but I never really got on with it, and it had odd patterns with its LED lights that were not coherent or consistent, and did not always work as expected (and with supposedly much less battery life, compared to this product). I say supposedly, because I've only charged this up for the first time, so time will tell. In my view, one good test of a device like this, working over Bluetooth, is whether it works every time, in the same sort of way, and with consistency. Connecting, disconnecting....and so on. This one does. The range is good, I've walked a good distance from it, and its as good as you might hope or expect. Pairing was easy, and it does exactly what you'd expect, though I've only used it in TX mode so far, and I probably don't need RX. The only thing I'd say is that while all the design and functionality of the electrics, battery life, range, etc seem to all be excellent....I would have liked a little more "premium" feel. It's very light, and the plastic not of the greatest quality - but also nothing wrong with it. It's actually a nice design, just that more premium materials, some metal...aluminium, and more weight to it would have been appreciated. I know not everyone is the same, but I'd have happily paid an extra £10 or £15 for that kind of finish. But ultimately, all that really matters is how it works, and its working really well for me.
