This item was purchased as a gift and fits the space perfectly! Although there was the possibility the shipment would arrive on two separate days (2 separate packages were shipped), both packages actually arrived on the same day. I was told by the recipients that the assembly was easy and the instructions were easy to follow. I'm very pleased all around! Looks exactly like the photos and is a wonderful addition to the space! If you're considering buying this product, go for it! It's decorative and functional -- can be used with the heat turned on or off. I'm very happy with this purchase and the recipients also love it!!

I bought this item around 3 months ago, and overall, it's a good product.Pros:The fireplace is true to the picture.The fire effect is very cosy, and there is an option to only have the fire effect without the heat, wich is nice.Cons:there are no settings to turn the heat up or down. you can only turn it on or off, so if you turn it on i recommend you only have it on for 30 minutes to an hour at a time so it doesn't get too hot. I also noticed that when I turn on the heating function that it has a weird factory smell.Assembely:I'm usually very good with assembling things, but assembly with this was a little bit more difficult than I expected.Everything was going pretty well until I had to install the actual fireplace into the frame.there were no instructions on how to install it and there were no holes to put the screws in for just that one part.i ended up having to push the screws really hard for them to go in and assembly took about an hour to and a half.Overall, this is a great product for a decent price.

After looking at many of these faux fireplaces, we went with this due to the positive reviews. Unfortunately, we failed to realize this unit has zero functions other than on/off for the heater and flame effect. No remote, no timer, and no thermostat like most other units. We bought this for our bedroom and can’t use it at night. It will just keep blasting hot air until it eventually overheats and shuts it self off. Very disappointed.Of course, because the unit arrives in two boxes that arrive at separate times we had already fully assembled the cabinet by the time the fireplace insert arrived so we have no choice but to keep it. Maybe we can find an another insert that actually has some features and just reuse the cabinet. That’s the best case scenario we can now hope for. Such a shame.
