Has blessed my shag rug with new life. Easy to use and extremely effective. It does have a "smell" but if like me a lot of fragrance gives you a headache this one is an inoffensive, clean smell that eases off quickly after it's been hoovered up. I can imagine if you have a weaker vacuum you may have issues but it lifted no bother with a Henry - did take a few passes and a bit of attention to detail on a very thick, dense pile like mine. So perhaps not the choice for you if you have very thick rugs and/or a slightly pathetic hoover. I do think you will get better results depending on how well you scrub it in and how miserly you are with product; apply generously and scrub vigorously, particularly if you're using on a dense rug, and it will return the effort, the product works if you work it. The other reviews regarding the packaging are correct, it would be a bloody nightmare especially not using the full dose, save yourself the faff and decant it directly into a big sealable plastic tub or zip loc, it's not any more difficult to spread that way. I can see what they were going for with the design but it is patently, rubbish, bypass entirely. I had no issues sprinkling it using a shaking motion out the corner of a tub, or use a scoop. Seriously, just don't bother with the packaging. I got half covered in the product while it was still "sealed" during the shake well stage of the instructions. Decant it, you won't have issues. Absolutely will order again however the amount I received was very generous, more than half leftover after one medium area rug and a generous application, so it might be a while before I need to order again. That said my rug has come up like brand new and is lovely and clean and soft feeling to touch as if it's been fully shampooed with infinitely less faff than renting a rug doctor and lugging it upstairs. A 10/10 household product (if you ignore the packaging).

Have used this product before and it dies a very good job

Amazingly the product was much more effective than I had hoped for in cleaning carpets in high-traffic areas. Quite easy to apply and vacuums up well, leaving no residue. House smells clean and fresh and carpets looking lovely and clean. Package is of a good size and there is plenty left for another application when needed. The dispensing method was not bad, but improvements could possibly be made for the sealing of the bag after use—have kept it inside the bag provided for delivery to avoid leakage.

In theory it sounds easy to use but it’s a total faff. It seems to have brighten an old carpet and I’m the 80s and another probably about 10/15 years old. Also used it on a year old carpet which is light in colour and it has a couple small even lighter spots. Given reviews, followed instructions ruins fastidiously - sprinkled on, brushed in, brushed in some more in bedroom, stairs and foot fall path in living room, and high took about an hour. Left for 20 mins, hoovered living room, still felt like it had a residue, left for another 30/40 mins hoovered again, was much better but will prolly feel normal again after another hoover. Then onto stairs and bedroom. Bedroom had had about an hour, hoovered it super slowly and went over loads - still feels like it needs another go. Was more sparing in the initial dusting on the short old stairs carpet and that came up easiest. Used a lot more in bedroom as trying to get rid on an old mould smell. Well it smells of the product now at least, instead of mould so win there! Is an alright smell not too offensive. But it’s taken hours of scrubbing on hands and knees and hoovering a million times - and in all the corners and skirting cos it goes everywhere. So I think it’s done what I needed it to do but I have long covid and reckon I’ll have a massive fatigue crash tomorrow after all this. Reckon the product is better for small areas - like a rug or heavy foot fall area instead of a whole room.

Easy to use

We have a light coloured carpet and it does get grubby, thanks mainly to the dog. Although I have a carpet shampoo machine, I don't like to use it too often as I'm concerned about the water going through to the underlay and maybe affecting it. However, the carpet starts to look grubby again only weeks after I've shampooed it. So I thought I'd try this as a dry shampoo. Although it doesn't get the carpet sparkling clean, it does a good enough job. I could see the difference it had made and it certainly faded some of the more noticeable stains. I will probably use this every month now to keep the grubbiness at bay. Well worth the money as I will get two cleans out of each bag.

I regret using this product on our carpet. - Did not clean carpet, All stains remained as it is. - Could not get rid off all powder even after vacuuming more than 5 times. - Clogged my vacuum machine. even after cleaning vacuum machine filters several times seems like efficiency of my vacuum machine dropped allot. This is a good powerful 1800W machine we are using for couple of years. -Powder settled everywhere which is another headache to clean -Not sure how much went inside our lungs!!

This pack was opened and wrapped with plastic bubble and tape. Are we serious about this?! No return for the product even! Shameless
