Works great for my application. Built a fan for my side by side and it controls the speed great.

I already reviewed this but here it is again. My use case was to provide variable speed control to a 12v Kamado Joe smoker air blower fan motor. I selected this PWM unit because the exterior design would look almost "factory" on my blower motor housing. The terminal block is well labeled and robust. The dial is a digitizer which makes it a lot more flexible. When I first tested this set up, the controller was not linear, meaning the fan didn't turn on until the dial was set above 20% power. After that, the motor speed ramped up to 100% at a setting of 50% on the digitizer. That would have worked but i wanted a very fine linear control as air flow on a KJ is critical to stable temps. I corrected this by inserting a 4.7 ohm 25-watt resistor on the + fan lead. It now works perfectly. The motor starts at 1% and ramps up to full speed at 100% dialed power setting. My motor only draws 1.5 amps so the 12A capacity of this unit indicates major over engineering so it should last a long time.

Have already been using it. Won't give 5 stars until it shows longevity and not a burn out . The cabinet it's mounted in includes a cooling fan so I don't think it'll ever over heat especially when only .9 amps as its only loading at the moment and that won't change unless the motor goes bad maybe? A lot less room needed than for other motor speed controllers which was a plus. Maybe not as much power handling as larger units but not needed for my application. Display is bright and clear and the units control pot is very responsive. The connection terminals are better than others and look good. CAUTION! The wiring sticker on this controller was not matching the actual board designated polarities. Someone was reading upside down. Just peel and turn around. So far a good value if it doesn't crap out for no reason. Don't know any reason it would. One thing that I wish the companies producing these small panel mounts would produce and offer, an angled bezel for tilting them upwards or downward for easily reading when high or low. For my application I don't mind squatting or bending down to read but is not always practical and at my age sometimes painful. As my application of them has me tilting them upwards on the panel face. Top edge of the included bezel is touching the face of panel face and the bottom edge is approximately .250 inches from the face of the panel. This request has no bearing on the unit itself or it's rating from me. Personaly I don't own a three d printer or these would be pretty easy to print. Bottom line is so far so good and nice.

I used this motor controller to adjust the flow of a coolant pump in my cloud chamber project. This device works great for this purpose.

The speed control device worked well until capacitor blue or something like that I don't know exactly what but I think maybe it's because of it was wet outside and just rain so just letting everybody know that yes the water will ruin it
