I myself prepared for gate and I stared preparing 9 months earlier, this book contain more topics then the syllabus of gate but u want to read it with lectures it's a good choice.

(UPDATED) The knowledge in the book is great. Little printing mistakes are present in the text. These mistakes are comprehended easily though. It is a detailed book on digital logic and computer design, logic gates, and types of operations on binary variables, and which later moves on to the basics of integrated circuits and computer design architecture. A really valuable book.

No need of review

It covers basic concepts of digital system and complex structure of microprocessor system.

Best book from Morris Mano and want to recommend this book for every one who want to make a good overview and good knowledge on Digital Electronics and Circuit Designing. Just some of the concepts are not that briefed like the meely and moore's circuit Designs.. But Overall a very good book to have with a ELECTRONICS student.

Without a second thought just go for it, because you have no other options available without this. This is the best book available in the Indian market. Whether you are studying for your semester exams or you are preparing for GATE, this is the only book you need. Many of you may find it boring to read this book but trust me at the same time you will gain a lot of knowledge from it. And moreover the author of this book is from California State University, Los Angeles you can imagine. Read this book along with watching videos from YouTube you can learn quickly. And the only demerits is that "the paper quality of this book is not up to the mark" it could have been even better and it should be improved, it looks like Pearson has made this book by using the recycled papers. Because if they are using than the price of the book should also decrease. Otherwise author should give it to some other publisher like McGraw Hill or Jones & Bartlett & Learning they use "A Class" papers for their books and at a reasonable price.

It seems like not a original copy, lot of printing mistakes and unclear words.
