Beam Pro adds that extra usefulness to the Xreal glasses.
As the price of the beam pro comes down, it becomes well worth the investment (£160 with voucher). Although it is basically an Android phone with no calling ability, it does have a 3D camera and a 2nd USB port. It allows the Xreal glasses to use more features such as "anchoring" the display to a point in space so you can turn your head to look at something else and then look back to the screen. This feature is very useful. The screen can also follow your head movement so that it is always in front of you - good if you are moving from room to room but still want to glance at the screen. I use the beam pro/Xreal Air 2 to remotely connect to my PC so I can work from anywhere. I use an small bluetooth keyboard with track pad and its very good for remote working. The battery will last for hours (3 or 4?) when powering the glasses or all day otherwise, but because it has a charging port I tend to run it from a power bank. You can install and use normal Android apps. The screen is good quality and useful on its own, but, it can do nothing more than your phone without the glasses so don't buy it unless you have the Xreal AR glasses. Previously I used a Samsung phone with Dex to use the glasses with, which was good, but the Beam Pro adds an extra dimension to the experience of working remotely, so I use this Beam Pro rather than my Samsung phone. This technology is still in its infancy, but is just becoming what has been promised for years - This Beam Pro and the Xreal Air 2 glasses (both recently reduced in price a lot) is an excellent entry point to AR glasses. The next set of phones that use Android 16 and allow external monitors to be plugged into the USB C port, in theory should make the Beam Pro redundant (probably), but this will probably be the cheaper option for a little while. A quality product, only let down by the lack of instructions (their intro video says "click on the 4 circles"....but there weren't 4 circles. Eventually 1 circle did appear, then one by one the other 3, but I had given up and restarted the intro app several times before I realised what they meant). The other downside is that the external mouse in anchor mode sometimes (when you reset the display position) disappears and I have only just realised that it appears behind you so you have to move it 180 degrees before you can see it (stroking the mouse pad many times). Xreal have impressed me both with the glasses, and now with the Beam Pro - however the £160 reduced price tag has made a big difference. If I paid the original £240 I may not have been impressed. If it comes down to closer to £100 then its a no brainer to buy the Beam Pro if you have Xreal glasses.

level up your Xreal
The Xreal Beam Pro is a game-changer in the world of augmented reality (AR) devices. This compact and affordable spatial computer offers an incredible experience that rivals high-end devices at a fraction of the cost. The Beam Pro is a massive leap from the original Beam giving you native access to the Android store and it even has duel cameras which allow you to take 3D videos and pictures that you can view back in the glasses in full 3D Pros: Affordable: Offers high-end features at a budget-friendly price. Versatile: Works seamlessly with Xreal smart glasses and supports a wide range of apps. Dual Cameras: Capable of capturing impressive 3D photos and videos. Battery Efficiency: Keeps your phone's battery life intact while providing extended usage. Cons: Limited Compatibility: Not compatible with computers, consoles, or handhelds. i used to like connecting my Xbox to the beam and playing in the glasses a feature that is missing from the pro instead opting to use the cloud gaming app Some Apps May Be Awkward: Certain apps might not be optimized for spatial mode. Overall, the Xreal Beam Pro is an exceptional device that brings AR technology to the masses. Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just looking for a fun and immersive experience, the Beam Pro delivers in every aspect. It's a must-have for anyone interested in exploring the world of augmented reality.

Ok I guess
The beam pro is a basic android device with the glasses software app. It also enables app download from playstore. The camera system is a spatial camera but can also be used as a normal camera. There are not many glasses specific apps yet, I can see myself using my phone more than this rather than carry 2 around with me.

WORST device ever!
What is the point of this? I tried this along side with my samsung phone.. i get better brightness, no sure why, i tried GeForce Now, with my Samsung i get full 60 fps, with this i get 16 fps. It is even worse then the original Beam since you cant use it to connect with game consoles. So what exactly is the point of this useless device when everyone already has a phone that can do almost everything this average device does. The only thing that it does that is remotely useful is the anchor and slow follow.. and that is when it work, whcih is 7 times out of 10. Save yourself some money and sanity and do NOT buy this!!!

A good piece of kit
Just what is needed to enhance the use of your Xreal glasses. A little on the expensive side but with a bit more tweeking with the software this Beam pro will be indispensable. It also keeps charged with a charging cable, that you will have to supply unfortunately because it doesn't come with one and at the price they are that is a bit of a let down. But never the less a good tool to aid you Xreal glasses. Well made, looks good and is easy to use.

Good for that price!
For that price a good camera! Not the best for near, or macro, you need to be at least 2 meters distance, but for the rest a good buy, the battery goes quick down, so you will need a power pack, but for the rest its a good buy!

Bijna goed, geen Nederlands zoals gewoonlijk. Apps kunnen wel ingesteld worden in Nl.

Alles bestens. Sehr schnelle Abwicklung. Alles gut angekommen.
