CHECK YOUR OIL DATE CODES
UPDATE: The seller responded and corrected the mistake by replacing the expired fluids. While it is unfortunate I received the expired fluid to begin with, I do appreciate the seller correcting the issue. Will buy from here again if needed in the future. Thanks. Product was reasonably priced, showed up on time, and was what I needed to maintain the vehicle's manufacturer warranty. However, the issue I have is the date codes on the containers which read "021413." I would assume this means the oil was manufactured February 14th, 2013. The typical recommended shelf life for oils is 5yrs meaning the 2 bottles I received had already passed that date by the time I received them. I could also tell they've been sitting for quite awhile because the containers had the old labeling which was partially saturated with oil which can happen to containers that sit for a long time. I contacted the seller who did initially respond but I have yet to see a follow-up email regarding a product audit about the issue. I contacted MOPAR directly to verify the date code readings and shelf life but I was referred to my local Chrysler dealer (wow, thanks). The local dealer shop personnel had never heard of expiration dates or that there even were date codes on MOPAR oils (kind of surprising and sad lol). One of the guys told me he has a few drums of 10yr old gear oil at home and still uses it (as if that was supposed to put me at ease lol). Just so you know, oil DOES in fact expire due to the break down of the oil additives which will separate over time coupled with the absorption of moisture especially when the container has been opened. This is especially true with conventional type oils. Will the oil be fine to use..? Probably. But seeing as how the oil is already pushing 6yrs old and is just now being used, I'm not going to keep it in there for the suggested length of time which will cost me more when I have to change it again. So, make sure you CHECK THE DATE CODES on your oils to make sure they aren't trying to push their old and possibly expired oil stock on you. Safe travels, B

The real deal for your maintenance needs. It was time to change out the fluid for my dart so I went with manufacturer recommended fluids. No problems whatsoever
