Very good product
2nd time I've bought a product by fanola and I'm very happy with the results. Used with 3% 10v peroxide. 1 part colouring creme to 2 parts peroxide and my hair was level 8 after bleaching, this worked really well as a toner. I'm not a hairdresser, just watch YouTube videos to understand basics of hair colouring.

No more ugly yellow!
I am thrilled with this product, it got rid of 70% of the ugly yellow brassiness which I sadly gained after tinting my hair, I usually add a little coconut powder bleach just for the extra lift but this time my hair looked yellow even slightly orange 😱 after doing my roots! It looked shocking. I visited a hairdressers and quoted me £120 can you believe to fix the mess I'd created and add olaplex and toner etc! So I thought blow that, I'll do it myself and just get her to cut and blow it, a more reasonable £30.00 for that..Though still expensive 🤔 🙄..Anyway ,back to this toner, I left it on for just short of 10 minutes, I might leave it on for a few more minutes next time and ensure my hair is wetter, as I only dampened it, it works better on 70% wet hair... I just hope the longevity is good, we'll see. 🙏 👍

You need to know how to actually use this first
Clearly many people view the colour sheet provided as a list of colour options you will get no matter what colour you start with, no matter which developer you use. That's not how it works. You first need to know what level (darkness) your hair is, the colour required by each toner for it to work, and then the strength developer (a chart is provided in the instruction sheet). Many people here have put random toners on their hair which will not work and was not meant to work for them, YOUR HAIR MUST BE THE RIGHT LEVEL TO START. If you put a dark toner on very light hair, expect to dye your hair the colour of the toner, which likely won't match the result as these work through colour correction (ie purple and yellow makes white, purple and nearly white makes purple, same with the blue toners for orange hair, dont put it on hair that isnt orange!). If you put a toner meant for very light results on a darker blonde base or even brunette, expect to see orange results or maybe even no results, some of these toners will have no result unless you have a pale yellow base. Toning your hair isn't like dying your hair, you need to understand the colour correction you're doing before choosing what toner to get, you also need to have already lightened your hair to know if you're going to end up orange, yellow or pale yellow before buying one. I had incredibly pale yellow hair and wanted white, so I used a superlightener which does not contain colour so would not accidentally dye my hair, but does have anti yellow properties to help me achieve white. I chose ML.00 and got exactly the colour it says. This lightener would not have worked on hair that is brighter yellow (maybe with a strong developer) as well and probably not at all on orange hair. This product does work, if you know how to use it and pick the right one with the right developer.

It works
I don’t normally write reviews but this stuff works. I recently had a bad experience with some silver box dye (you know the ‘hot roots, blue ends’ kind of experience) and knew I would have to lighten my hair to get it out, I then needed a toner but with Wella t18 discontinued, I turned to reviews to find a replacement. Firstly, this obviously needs to be mixed with developer (somebody mentioned it doesn’t come with instructions - mix ratio 1:1… I’ve never seen professional dyes come with instructions, there’s a million ways to mix tones to achieve desired results). I was being cheap so I used the same 20 vol developer I already bought for bleaching. As a drop out hairdresser I know this is too strong to mix with toner, normally your best bet is to go with a developer of 10 vol or below. However, I am glad I did what I did, this stuff is potent! I think my hair would have turned out a lot darker or even bluer otherwise. This toner is more blue based than purple but it absolutely gets rid of yellow tones on bleached blonde hair. I applied after towel drying wet hair following a bleach bath. Might try the other shades from this brand with 6 vol developer next time. Cannot comment on how long it lasts but blonde hair requires constant maintenance so I do not mind, it absolutely saved my hair colour!

Fanola good brand, but needs re name of product
This works really well for reducing yellow tones in blonde hair. Depending on what you’re using it for as it’s not an actual toner, I wish they wouid name these products correctly!! I noticed a difference after using the T.21 toner in my hair as a toner, but I use the ICE as an highlight colour & my clients hair looked have looked cooler and brighter. The formula spreads easily and a little goes a long way. Like most toning products it can be quite strong, so timing is important, but overall it does exactly what it’s meant to do.

The best blonde toner there is!
I’m a natural blonde and I’ve used this for along time - esp since my blonde started turning white as I’ve got a little older to enhance the colour. My daughter bleached her hair some time ago and after using red dye for years was truly ginger and this toner brings that down INCREDIBLY!! wouldn’t use anything else. An absolute top product - for blondes needing a lift use 3% peroxide and remember you have to mix with peroxide it’s not a tube colour!

Color as expected - sandy blond; reasonable odor ( all good colorants have a smell). Color takes reasonably - 15-20min.
