Vision: Color and Composition for Film

I've had this book for quite a few years now and it's a constant source of inspiration and information and a great book to come back to when working on any animation, motion design or other moving image project.

Quite possibly the best book on filmmaking. Never be too confident to believe you have remembered everything from film school, or study, or from neither of those and learning through practise. This book reminds and informs in such glorious simplicity, beauty and intelligence. Just frigging love this book. Keep it by my bedside. Make sure to open it every week. It's a bible for film. 10/10

I haven’t fully applied the knowledge in this book to my own work as of writing this review but I can see that it will be very useful. Lots of very nice imagery. Detailed and comprehensive. It was well worth the price I got it at.

This book is amazing, I totally recommend it. If you want to learn more about image composition ( elements, shape, colour, lines, harmony, contrast, etc) that is THE book.

Sometimes we forget about the real fundamentals of image creation, and this book gathers everything theoretically and practically about that topic. It is very useful for all image creator, whether you are a film maker, graphic designer, or a 3D artist.

Das Produkt kam schnell an und war in gutem Zustand. In diesem Buch gibt es reichlich Informationen, die man gründlich durchlesen und studieren kann. Ich habe es noch nicht zu Ende gelesen, aber schon jetzt viele gute Informationen daraus erhalten.

Any visual development artist whether for film or games should own this book. The content is amazingly comprehensive and clearly written. There is no ambiguity when it comes to instruction. I've recommended this to many co-workers and everyone who has bought it has fallen in love with the book. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Livro lindo, recheado de informação e bem didático! Não é um livro de colecionador tipo artbook, ele é ótimo pra quem estuda e trabalha com áreas tipo ilustração, concept art, storyboard e afins :)

I've been self-studying art for a long time now. The moment I received this book and took a look inside I could tell instinctively that I've hit a gold mine of information. It touches upon so many areas in a succinct way with clear and visual examples. It is an incredibly dense book of information that I will probably come back to for years to come.
