You can tell the difference right away after using cheepo breadboards. Shame the pitch is a little different.

Much better performance than cheap breadboards in which the component wire grippers do not open up readily, unless they are "conditioned" with a tool, resulting in bent wires and frustration. On the Jameco board component insertion is easy and positive and quick, saving time and frustration. It is twice the price of the equivalent BB830 board, which so far seems just as good. Both shown side by side in photo. The Jameco board comes with a seperate aluminium backing plate if that is important to you, may explain the higher price.

These are excellent quality breadboards, I have had zero problems with bad connections in the months I have been using these and they seem great quality. One thing to note though is they do not seem to have a standard distance between power rails so some breadboard power supplies that plug directly into all four rails do not fit. Apart from that I can't fault them.

If you want a breadboard that will work first time and every time, you really need one (or more) of these. The boards that come with the "cheap" electronic kits fail quite frequently - these boards just keep on performing.

Bought for prototyping work. Very happy with connectors quality - they are not so loose as cheap chinese ones sold on eBay.Also nice that that they have a aluminium back plate which can be used as a shielding.Definitely good value for the money.
