Okay, so when it comes to HVAC, I'm usually the guy who calls a professional. But, armed with a new mini-split and a healthy dose of "I can probably figure this out," I decided to give vacuum sealing a go. Enter the Lichamp Vacuum Pump. Honestly, I was expecting something loud enough to wake the neighbors, but this thing was surprisingly chill – just a quiet hum. It made me feel way more competent than I probably am. Connecting everything was a breeze. It just screwed right on, no wrestling required. It worked like a charm, creating that essential vacuum without any drama. Now, a word to the wise (because I had to Google it): make sure this pump is compatible with your refrigerant. It happily worked with what I needed (R134a, R410a, R22, R12), but the newer R32 wasn't explicitly mentioned, so do your homework! If you're a DIY-er like me, or even if you know what you're doing (unlike me), this Lichamp pump seems like a solid and surprisingly quiet option. Two thumbs up from this amateur! Ps- The video makes the machine sound a lot louder than it actually is as the recorder was close to it.

Works great

This pump worked perfectly for my auto air conditioning repair work. Pulls a very low vacuum in a short period of time. Included the oil, so it was easy to put it right to work. At the price point, it was a great value. The sound level is actually quiet as well.

I purchased this to use as a vac pump for polyester fiberglass layups - to use as a vac bag system. Out of the box I was not happy with the overall quality. It looked like it had been used. But I needed it for a project and didnt have time send it back. I wish i had. The pump got hot within 10 min of continued use. I used the oil they provided to fill the tank, and by the end of my time using it, about half of the oil had erupted out the top filler, or by some other means. I dont have the bandwidth to diagnose the exact problem. I would go with a more reputable brand....

As described. Lightweight, quiet, functioned perfectly. Didn't get too hot, pulled vacuum quickly. Seems like good quality, overall great value.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It looked like it would do job but the outlet did not fit 134a freon connections. After going to 5 stores for adapters I gave up and decided to return item and purchase an Orion vac pump from Amazon that not only fit 134a but also fit R12!
