This thing works great! I have had several of these things so I was a little skeptical but I got it out, figured out how everything works, the depth and width can be adjusted, and the handle locks down, it is Awesome! Can have different thicknesses of stuff, different widths, it just works really well. Blades are really sharp so slices things very easily. It comes with a little cleaning brush so thats easy to do. It comes apart so you can get into where the food is. Stores in a small space. I will be getting more as presents for people.

We really like this system but it can be tricky to get the exact cut you want. It is by far the safest mandolin we have used and takes up a lot less space when not in use.

Saved me so much time and energy during canning season. Got tired of the old mandolin style getting in a rhythm and mess up and it would slip off the end This one is so much easier to use, suction cups to the counter and away you chop. Haven’t had any issues at all

This slices hard items such as winter squash and sweet potatoes and carrots very well. I think even the largest size strips are too skinny for fries. Didn't really work out for what I wanted. Doesn't work very well for softer foods such as mushrooms and peppers.

OK, I’ve had this unit for approximately 3 months now, and I finally got a chance to use it today. I made hamburgers, and made perfectly sliced onions, and perfectly sliced tomatoes. In the past, cutting them with a knife, came out very uneven. Even holding an onion while cutting it with a knife was hard to do because the onion would slip as you’re trying to cut it and one side of the onion or tomato was thicker than the other. Now they’re very uniformed and come out perfect. I could choose the thickness I wanted and it worked out beautifully. I highly recommend this slicer. It’s a game changer. WARNING: even though this slicer keeps your fingers well away from the blade, so all you have to do is put the vegetable down the chute, then push the it down the chute with the plunger. Then push the handle down keeping your fingers away from the blade,and as you push down the lever it slices them perfectly, I have to warn you. When I completed everything and took it apart to soak the pieces in the sink so that I could clean them before I put them away, I reached into the sink and due to not seeing the exposed blade through the soapy water, I sliced two of my knuckles on the sharp blade. Be VERY, VERY careful if you’re putting it into sudsy water as you may not see the blade. It is razor sharp and as I say, I cut myself and my knuckles were bleeding very badly. That’s the only warning I can give you. You can’t cut yourself while slicing the vegetables , but you have to be careful with cleaning after you use it. If you are careful, this will be the best purchase you ever made in regards to a slicer.
