What happens when a drunken promise leads to living with a dragon? That’s Miss Kobayashi’s new reality when Tohru appears in her life. With a maid slash dragon in her home, she’s experiencing a whole new level of domestic bliss! But the dragons don’t stop there. On a mission to find Tohru appears Kanna, a little dragon with a big attitude. Before she knows it, Kobayashi’s got a house full of dragons—one serving tail and the other serving serious moe! Together, they live side by side with only the occasional disaster…well, maybe. But nothing beats coming home to the warm welcome of a dragon maid! Review: A very good show - Love the show! It is funny and very feel-good when feeling down and need an escape. Review: Wonderful show! - I love watching this show. It’s just a lovely and feel good show. I enjoy watching a few episodes before I head to bed. I could watch easily on Funimation, but this was one of those shows I wanted a physical copy of. I’ve noticed that some people complain about the dub, but it’s done well, and pretty much the only way I watch. Some people are just too concerned about getting a 1 for 1 translation, which is impossible. I can accept some localization in the dub. And it’s not pushing an agenda as I’ve seen some reviews claim. I was disappointed that the OVA episode is not dubbed though.

A great and charming show.
A completely charming show made by the great Kyoto Animation studio. A second season of this show was announced before the tragic fire that took 33 lives and their assets they were working on (likely the second season of this show) in April 2019. Watch this show, it really is a masterpiece, and yes, you will want a second season. Let's hope Kyoto Animation can recover and give us that second season as promised, after they mourn the deaths of their friends and colleagues. If they do, it will be a while, as they will likely have to re-create it.

Sweet and cute and very funny.
So, after a drunken promise a dragon comes to live with loner and downtrodden Miss. Kobiashi. They learn about themselves and each other as they begin to coexist. There's a wonderful balance between humor and the heartfelt moments. I notice some have complained about there being issues with a "rant" on sexism or whatever, but I barely noticed anything other than a stray comment one character says to another one. I'd highly recommend this anime if you want something light, funny and heartfelt. I look forward to the second season coming to physical media in 2022.

My emotional support anime
Not gonna lie, this anime is one of those rare cases of being something I go to whenever my depression is at its worse. The animation is lovely, the characters are all wonderful and voiced perfectly, has my all time favorite openings to an anime ever, and it can be genuinely funny. This is slice of life with a fun twist, and while not the most action packed it still is a fun ride.

I want a dragon waifu...
- Synopsis: After a drunken promise between a human and a dragon, our protagonist now lives together with Tohru. Her dragon maid. As expected, there are many difficulties that have to be overcome. Such as teaching them the ''common sense'' of human standards. Even though one dragon already seemed like a handful, the numbers keep adding up! Tune in to experience the ups-and-downs of Kobayashi’s life, now that she has become acquainted with some dangerous and unique friends. - Comments: The music was catchy, and the visuals were nice. The English dub didn’t sound too bad, but I usually prefer Japanese dub. I was surprised that aFantasy could still work within a Slice of Life genre. Normally, I find them to contradict each other, but it actually blended quite nicely in this anime. - Analysis: One of the many strengths of humans is their ability to adapt. No matter the situation, humans find ways to be flexible. Even if it means befriending a dragon maid capable of bringing about armageddon. In other words, even in the harshest, or strangest situations, humans can make anything become a normal routine. Which is a relatable and relevant concept, among other things. - Features: Contains English audio, and Japanese audio with English subtitles. The subtitles are white, as opposed to yellow. Includes 2 Blu-rays and 2 DVDs. Disk 1 has episodes 1-7, and disk 2 has 8-13+OVA & Extras. The runtime is about 5 hours and is rated TV-14 for fan-service, and suggestive scenes/dialogue. - Conclusion: A funny, heart-warming, fairly light-hearted anime with plenty of cute girls, catchy music, and interesting visuals. It's actually quite witty, which can appeal to mature viewers. The only issue I had was the ending because it was forcibly rushed. Other than that, I found this anime to be really enjoyable, overall. - Recommendations: The Devil is a Part-timer!, Binbougami ga!, Samurai Flamenco, Level E, GATE, Those Who Hunt Elves, HyperDimension Neptunia: The Animation, Monster Musume, Kono Subu, Prison School, and Shokugeki no Soma.

Good Comedy series with great animation
Being a fan of this show already, I decided to purchase it not only because I felt this series was good, but to help out the studio who made it after it's recent tragedy. This show is very light hearted at it's core, but when it decided to bring in more dramatic moments, they feel heavier due to it's light hearted nature. Good animation from Kyoto Ani. #HelpKyoAniHeal

Love is love, no matter if it's between the same or different sexes (or species!)
Tohru is a female dragon. Kobayashi is a female human. (A lonely one at that.) Like a lot of us, she yearns for someone to love and to love her, but is reticent to even try to find that someone. They meet when Tohru, mortally wounded in a battle on her world, comes to Kobayashi's world and the two meet while she is dying and lonely and Kobayashi is drunk and lonely. Kobayashi saves Tohru's life without thinking (she's VERY drunk!) and invites her to live with her as her maid once Tohru assumes human form. The fun starts there!
