Horribly funny
We picked up Horrible Therapists on a whim, and it’s now one of our go-to party games. It’s easy to learn, quick to play, and absolutely ridiculous in the best way. The prompts and card combos are sharp, a little unhinged, and had our whole table laughing so hard we had to pause the game more than once. It shines with a mixed group of friends who enjoy dark, irreverent humor—and it’s perfect for breaking the ice. Replay value is great, too. Even with the same people, new card pairings keep the jokes fresh, and the judging banter is half the fun. Just know your crowd: the humor can be edgy, so it’s not a family game night pick.

Hilarious and fun!
As an actual therapist, I find this game hilarious! Obviously, it’s highly inappropriate, but that’s the entire point. I’ve brought it to work parties before too and all of my coworkers loved it. Takes a minute to learn but easy enough once you get the hang of it, very similar to other card games for sure.

4 out of 8 people ordered this game after playing it.
Bought this due to Amazon recommendation because I bought Exploding Kittens. My impression when I opened it and reviewed the cards was "eh, maybe not so hot". But when we played with a part of 8 or 9 neighbors it was a huge hit, and 3 or 4 of the other players immediately ordered it for themselves or as gift for friends. I personally would have rated it at 4 stars, but the reaction from friends was 5 star. This is definitely and adult party game, so the age range suggested of 17+ is appropriate. The cards are smallish, but of good quality. It is easy to play and fun. I would say it is a cross of Apples to Apples, and Cards Against Humanity. We have only played it once so far, because it is a very recent purchase, but I expect that the neighbors may ask to play this on future game nights. Not sure how well it will stand up to multiple replays, but the mechanics of how you use the 3 different types of cards should allow for many combinations of "problems" and "answers" -- so I expect this to hold up well.

Read the description before buying if youre offended easily
READ THE DESCRIPTION before buying and rating this as offensive or raunchy humor... thats what this is!!! This is not meant for young, family game night!! On that note, its hilarious BUT there is too much going on. So many times we wanted to reply to the question, yet the answer messes with the entire flow and makes the treatment answers less funny. It turns out to be more chaotic and doesn't make sense. Great idea, super funny but doesn't need the 3 different card choices. Id day skip the Answer cards all together. Still fun, great for the shock value answers!!

Fun, but a bit on the nose
Got it for a game night at a friend's house. It was a big hit. Some of the cards are very current-news, and seemed a little topical or not funny because they were just outdated. Not very many though a lot of them were hilarious. We had a lot of fun making the little comic strips. It was a hit while we were playing it and everyone laughed. I would definitely recommend, but some of the cards were redundant and or overly specific so we weren't able to use some of the stuff in our hand.

Super fun. Splendidly offensive☆☆☆☆☆
So much fun. So silly. If youre a prude or easily offended, forget it. Lots of variety. Was great at Christmas party with fam♡

Such a fun game for grown ups!
Don't let the cute bunny drawings fool you, this game is for adults. My friends and I were laughing so much and talked about it for days after, and is now a staple at our get togethers. Some cards are rather raunchy so keep that in mind.

Naw keep looking
I’m going to be completely honest. I was very disappointed at this game. My family and I are avid game players and Is thought this would become a house favorite. But the jokes remind me of little middle school boys trying to be funny about their butts. Don’t get me wrong, the game has some funny things. But it’s also very repetitive as if they ran out of good quality ideas with more than half the cards. We honestly didn’t even finish the whole first game. I think this game has potential. But it’s just not it. And I can’t say it was because of the age of the group. It was 18-40 year olds playing. We ran into some things going over the 18 year olds heads or the responses not being funny enough. Like some of the cards didn’t even have words on them. Just a bunny thing with a gesture with a word blob saying “Wow”. Honestly, I won’t play this game again. First and only time was enough.

beautiful game with great humour, not a game for two people though

It is very easy and extremely funny. Definitely NSFW and not for kids, as it has a lot of crass humour and cartoon nudity, gore, etc. but with the right crowd it's a riot. I have played Joke Hazard, and this is similar with just a different framing and so having both is still a different experience. I prefer this game personally, and so did the other participants if that helps. I recommend with any game like this, don’t bother keeping points. What we did was voted each round what we thought was the funniest card but you couldn’t vote for your own. One time when we all were bummed that the card we drew was better than we played, we just played the same round again. Discard between however much you want, the goal isn’t to win the round, but make it hilarious for me and my friends, and this approach improves all games like this. So Joke Hazard, Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples, whatever. Try a non competitive play sometime if you haven’t, it’s great.
