Pixel family addition
What an awesome companion. I look the fitment, the comfort, the ease-of-use, the durability, and the practicality! Although the battery only lasts a full day, I still get well into the second day. It's an amazing watch even today.

Problems Problems Problems
**UPDATE** Returned. Was a store demo unit with memory/storage issues and leftover traces of a config app that made setup a nightmare and updates undoable. Defective and buggy AF. -------------------- Comes in a loose bag looking like it just came off the previous owners wrist. Zero documentation. Setup and connection to my Pixel phone is one issue after another. On startup I was prompted to download an oddly-named suspicious looking app that had nothing to do with Google or Pixel. It worked through setup and sync with my Pixel phone about 60% successfully. Kept telling me it could not connect via BT. Google Assistant would not work. Google Pay/Wallet threw an error that suggested the device was not secure or had been rooted? It has been spinning through an update/download process that I had to manually seek out for 90 minutes and then said it was paused until it charged to 90%. Bargain buyer remorse. Will be returning if this update does not work wonders.

Unreal value if you don't mind charging once a day.
Arrived in good cosmetic shape. Battery life isn't stellar, but functionally far superior to my amazefit cause Google app integration. If ur on the fence, go for it. Update: Don't let the battery go completely dead. There's a common problem where the watch wont charge or boot. Headache to fix.

Came with a bad battery at first, but they were able to ship a new one in time.
When I first received this watch, it came with a horrifically bad battery. I knew that, even though this is my first Pixel Watch, the battery drained *very* fast, even while it was charging! I talked with Google Support, and they confirmed it too. So I sent it back for replacement, and after a little while, the new one comes and it works considerably longer, with no unusual flaws. I have been using it for the past few months now and battery life is still the same. No new problems have popped up, and it works well with the features on my Pixel 7, including camera and Pixel's Personal Safety. It's a nice accessory to answer calls, respond to messages and notifications, track fitness, and more. There is a current issue with it, though, where music apps will bug out if you flip the watch when they're open, but otherwise I have no issues with the Wear OS. I would like to mention that, even on the Google Store website, it notes how the battery life on the original Pixel Watch doesn't last long enough (I have to charge it every morning), compared to all-day battery life on the Pixel Watch 2, so that's something to consider when choosing between this and the newer model.

Excellent Refurb Product
Refurb still working 2 years later, good deal.

Functional but can't update
I bought two of these here and each one will not do updates. Google put me through a lot of hoops to prove this, and did offer to let me send them in at the end, but it's a lot of hassle for something 1st gen. Without updates they do function okay, and they look as nice as the Pixel Watch 2 I bought more recently.

Good value
Wanted a watch to match my wife's new phone but didn't really want to invest $300+ in a new model before seeing if she would wear it. This option was appealing because the pixel 1 watch, undoubtedly without the same functionality as the more recent 3, looks almost identical to my old eyes as the current model. It didn't come in the original box, but 2 different colored (gray and black) straps were included with the charger cable. The straps took a few seconds to figure out how to attach to the watch face, but it was pretty intuitive. Just kind of slide/hook them in. It had enough battery to immediately power up, and she's been thrilled with it ever since, tracking her steps and other useful features to monitor as she's walking around a hospital all day. Looks and fits great, and excellent functionality. Only complaint would be the proprietary charger has a USB C you have to plug in somewhere and the only charger I had you could plug in a USB C cable to charge was my own phone charger so we've been battling over that until we remember to get one out. One included would've been nice, or at least being more informative that one would be needed.

Worked great at first, but won't charge!
When I first received this watch, I was very pleased with its condition. The watch appeared to be in perfect condition, and worked wonderfully. I'm glad I waited to complete this review because if I had rated it at first impression, I would have given it five stars. After 24 hours, though, my opinion changed because I couldn't get the watch to charge. On the rare occasion that it will charge, it takes hours to get to 100% and then it is dead again within a 24-hour period. I would love to be able to use it all the time, but the majority of the time it is dead and I can't get it to charge. I always use the charger that came with the item, and I have tried plugging it into both a fast-charging outlet and a slow-charging outlet—neither works. The charging screen comes on when it is placed on the charger, but it usually stays lit instead of going to the home screen like it's supposed to, and most times the watch gets very warm. I realize I paid less for this because it was a refurbished item, but without being able to keep it charged, it was still a waste of my money, and I wouldn't purchase it again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
